y first visit to Photoville was in the summer of 2012, when this innovative shipping container “village” first hit Pier 3, and Brooklyn Bridge Park was still an industrial zone devoid of the picturesque greenery that defines it today. In typical Brooklyn style, the place was full of people, dogs, art and beer. The mood was festive and the atmosphere balmy, and there was a feeling of something special emerging from the hot asphalt.
