Nestling in the valley of Littondale the park is surrounded by a blend of stunning landscapes, miles of dry stone walls and waterfalls cascading over Yorkshire limestone.

The Dales offer some of the finest walking, hiking, pony trekking and cycling terrain in the country. Explore beautiful sections of long distance footpaths including the Pennine Way and the Dales Way which pass nearby - we think the finest sections of both routes are just on the door step! There are also local caves and waterfalls nearby.

The nearby market town of Skipton, nicknamed ‘the gateway to the Dales’ boasts shops and attractions, from the historic castle to canal boat tours. The village of Kettlewell which is only 4 miles from the park was made famous for featuring in the box office hit ‘Calendar Girls’.

A short drive from the park will take you to Grassington which has a traditional village feel, regular farmers’ markets, shops and various local events to be enjoyed throughout the year. Kilnsey Park offers a great day out where you can try a spot of fly fishing, enjoy a walk through the butterfly garden, be sure to keep an eye out for the family of red squirrels who are resident!
