04 The Show House
Indret Brazil, Project Architect
Location: Itaguaí - RJ, Brazil
Project scale: 230,97 m²
Project type: Single home
Year: 2019
The project of the “Show House” was developed stemming from necessity to present a modular, economical and quick construction, however, keeping the contemporary design. It was designed to be built through the structural concrete wall system, cast in place. As the concrete wall molding is done at the final site, the walls are already carried out at the final thickness, avoiding plastering, labor and extra expenses. This system aims to create agility and economy to construction.
Creating a modest contrast, the tempered glass frames have aluminum profiles in black color. Wooden elements were chosen to soften the shapes. The result was a contemporary architecture with brutalist modern influence, a mark of Brazilian architecture.

“A singular architecture, modern, with steel and visible concrete. Reminiscent of an art gallery.”
This was the request of the clients for this 360 m² residence. The house has an extension program, which includes: a master suite, 2 bedrooms with bathroom, a social area which integrates with gourmet kitchen, covered balconies, support kitchen, laundry, pantry, storage area, toilet, service bathroom, rooftop with hot tub, home office and a basement with a wine cellar. |E&R

The exposed concrete is predominanr in all the finishings of this house and on the oversized slab. The use of the metallic structure was crucial in this project because it allowed for large overhangs on the front and back façades, adding great lightness to the set and emphasizing even more the great volume of the overhanging roof, the highlight of the construction.
The option for using the steel structure was worth the interesting cost-benefit relation between the structural free span and the reduced construction time. The clients' personal taste for the exposed material completes the set of construction benefits.
The layout adopted in the construction valued the three main elements of the composition: concrete, steel, and glass, and helped to integrate the house with the surrounding gardens. This union between the indoor and outdoor environments provided a great sense of spaciousness, with optimal conditions for natural lighting and ventilation.

is an accounting office with its headquarters in Itaguaí/ RJ.
The client's desire for this project was that it would be possible to visually and functionally join its current office with a new headquarters. This headquarters would need to be imposing, modern, and receive plenty of natural light. A total of 120 workstations had to be planned for the new headquarters. For this, two floors and a rooftop were developed in an extensive program, which includes: reception, large workstations, meeting rooms, auditorium, cafeteria, administration, coordination and management rooms, support rooms and a wonderful living area. To protect the lateral facade from weathering, a ventilated panel was planned in all its extension. Burnt cement, wood and glass compose the facade.

07 Kenko Health Care
Freelance Project
Location: Itaguaí - RJ, Brazil
Project scale: 1928,00 m²
Project type: Health Care
Year: 2022
Architecture concept in collaboration with Thaina Porto
Located in Itaguaí-RJ, the design of this clinic aimed to create a relationship of surprise and visual impact between the construction and the observer. Located in a compact 800 m² site and with an extensive program distributed over four floors, the use of straight lines and pure volumes guided the conception of this project with 1928 m² of constructed area. The program of needs includes outpatient services, diagnostic imaging, pathological anatomy, rehabilitation, minor surgical procedures, endoscopy unit, and all the general services required for the Clinic's operation. The project doubles the built-up area of the old headquarters and expands its number of specialties to offer a complete health service, becoming a reference for the city's private health sector. It was designed with a steel structure and metallic external cladding, a choice that guarantees lightness and speed in construction. Its facade is partially covered in glass skin, which allows abundant natural lighting to all common areas of the building. The use of the glass skin, together with the metalic element, collaborates to disguise the window openings, creating a unity effect. At the same time, these elements combined with the contrasting color palette suggest the grandeur and personality of this project. The triple height of the front atrium crosses all the reception and waiting areas of the building, becoming a continuous experience of light and landscape.
