1989 1987 The SME dive computer is developed.
1965 Suunto’s first dive compass, the SK-4, is developed. It is used actively by the legendary Jacques Cousteau.
Almost all the boats in the “Whitbread Round the World” races are equipped with Suunto compasses.
1998 Suunto Vector, the world’s first outdoor watch is launched.

Suunto X9, the world’s first wrist GPS with comprehensive navigation and outdoor functionality is launched. Suunto t6, a top-level heart rate monitor is introduced.
2007 Suunto launches the award winning Suunto Core outdoor sports watch.
