PILOT PROJECT

In a global analysis we have identified at least 7 countries where we can start, but we would like to focus on Cambodia because: 1. Water lentils have grown there for several millennia 2. Fast developing country >7%/yr since 2010 3. In line with government agriculture, climate and SDG policies 4. United Nations FAO Report 1999: “Duckweed: A tiny aquatic plant with enormous potential for agriculture and environment 5. Potential for high-impact returns 6. Food security and sustainable source of protein We are planning to do a small pilot project of 1ha to help us grow the most sustainable plant protein in the world.

1. Feasibility (1 ha): 4-6 months (Royal University of Agriculture & Wageningen University)

2. Pilot Project (25 ha): 6-12 months (Local farmer, International Bank, SNV)

We have identified at least 13 quantifiable UN SDG’s in Cambodia to be targeted and addressed by this project Water lentils will generate thousands of well paid jobs.

The goal is to bring new technologies to Cambodia. (e.g. IT, supply chain, Renewable energy)

Crop Yield doubles in biomass every 24 hours allowing us to harvest daily.

We will build an ecosystem of local partners who will be participating in the success of the company.

A healthy source of edible protein, minerals and oils in nature.

A highly sustainable plant-based food source on our planet.

Part of our profits will be dedicated to communities to build and support local schools to educate girls and women.

Water lentils is a climate mitigation technology. It reduces CO2 emissions by 30g/sqm/d which is 100tCOe/ha/year.

We have a gender equality policy and target local women as contractual partners.

Water lentils requires no agricultural or deforested land. It only requires freshwater and sun.

95% of water used to produce water lentils is recycled.

We will strive to create innovation across sectors, with the Cambodian government and across the supply chain.

Newly created jobs will support GDPR of underdeveloped countries & low income areas.
