ANNUAL REPORT

Dear Sussex School Supporter,
As we look back on 2021/22, we celebrate another robust school year at Sussex - a year filled with outdoor exploration, musical performances, student presentations, and connection. We reflect on a strong team of educators who created joyous and meaningful educational experiences for our 121 students and on the community of parents who maneuvered through another school year impacted by Covid-19. We take stock of, and find gratitude for, all the opportunities and possibilities created by the generosity of our school community.
Every year we commit to raising approximately 10% of our budget through fundraising efforts. These funds are not superfluous; they are essential for us to meet our budget. We are so thankful for your support in helping us reach and exceed our goal this year, raising $173,000 for the annual fund. Your donations cover everything that tuition does not - things like tuition assistance for families in need, professional development for teachers, facilities upkeep and improvements, and more.
At Sussex, we believe that education has the power to change and impact lives in significant ways. We know that by providing a challenging and progressive education, in a nurturing environment, our school can create confident, enthusiastic learners and caring participants in communities both near and far. Thank you so much for your support of our mission and for your belief in our school.
With gratitude,
Joellen Shannon
