First, I am so impressed every year by how many of you step up and give of your time, talent and treasure to help this organization, and Jewish Cincinnati, thrive. So many names are listed here in this honor roll of donors, leaders, and award winners; and every single one is necessary to our mission. Mazel tov!

Thank you from me, and from all the professional staff at the Federation. You are the beating heart of our work.

You are the gas in the tank that allows us to speed forward in fifth gear. You are the chai that makes our Jewish traditions of mitzvahs and tzedakah come alive.

We honor you and your passion. This honor roll is a symbol of the respect and gratefulness we feel for you, year-round.

Second, we did it. We made it through an incredibly difficult year, one filled with so much change. We distributed masks, cleaning supplies, and PPE equipment. We supported the vulnerable, we helped the hungry, we connected with isolated seniors and teens.

We strengthened organizations that were at substantial risk after this pandemic year.

Together, we can do almost anything. If anything can prove that favorite saying of ours true, this year surely did.

In sum: the strength of a community is in the individuals who participate. Your support is critical.

It is because of you that we have a strong and vibrant Cincinnati.
