Mudroom English Tudor, Seward Park, Seattle

The Mudroom reflects the style and history of this English Tudor home while seamlessly incorporating contemporary elements to keep it fresh and current.

Spacious cubbies, closets, and drawers provide ample storage for the coats, shoes and boots of each family member. A large utility sink under the existing window is accompanied by plenty of working counter space and vase storage for the owner to work with her fresh cut flowers. The water closet too has storage if necessary for workers who frequently come to the house.

Benjamin Moore's Lead Gray for the cabinetry and cubbies is contemporary and sophisticated. Traditional English faucets keep the space linked to it roots as does the timeless marble stone countertop. Open shelving next to the window over the utility sink adds a contemporary touch and provides additional space for the owner's favorite vases which are always in view, easily accessible, and at the same time add fresh variety in materials to the space.

Master Bathroom Palm Springs, California

There were specific goals for this Palm Springs Master Bathroom. Create a more spacious shower and shorten the length of the unnecessarily long water closet. In addition reuse the cabinet fronts of the vanity as the existing cabinetry ties into the rest of the house. Finally, update finishes and fixtures to create a current and contemporary feel while staying true to the Spanish ranch style architecture.
