SRI RUDRAPRASHNAH: PRATHAMONUVAAKAH
इति श्रीरुद्रप्रश्ने प्रथमोनुवाकः ॥ औम ् नमस्िे भगविे ऋद्राय ॥
औम ् नमस्िे रुद्र मन्यव उिो ि इषवे नमः। नमस्िे अस्िु अस्िु घन्वने बाहुभ्यामुि िे नमः ॥१॥
Om. Namo Bhagavate Rudraaya ॥ Om namaste Rudra manyava uto ta ishave namah । Namaste asto dhanvane baahubhyaamuta ten amah या ि इषु शिविमा शिवं बभूव िे धनुः । शिवा िरव्या या िव िया नो रुद्र मड ृ ाय ॥२॥
Yaa ta ishu sshivatamaa Shivam babhoova te dhanuh । Shiva sharavyaa yaa tava tayaa no Rudra mridaya या िे रुद्र शिवा िनरू घोराऽपापकाशिनी । िया नस्िनव ु ा िन्िमया गगररिन्िा शभचाकिॆहह ॥३॥
Yaa te Rudra shivaa tanoo raghoraapaapa kaashinee । Tayaa nastauvaa shantamayaa girishantaa bhichaakasheehi याशमषुं गगररिन्ि हस्िे बबभर्षययस्िवे । शिवां गगररत्र िां कुरु मा हहग्म्ीः पुरुषं जगि ् ॥४॥ Yaamishum girishanta haste bibhar shyastave । Shivaam gritra taam kuru maa higmseeh purusham jagat शिवेन वच्ा त्वा गगररिाच्छा वदामश् ।यथा नः ्वय शभज्जगद यक्ष्मगं ्ुमना अ्ि ॥५॥
Shivena vachasaa girishaacchaa vadaamasi । Yathaa nah ssarva bhijjagad yakshmagm sumanaa asat आध्यवोचदगधवक्िा प्रथमो दै व्यो शभषक् । अहीग्श्च ्वायन ् जंभयन ् थ््वायश्च यािध ु ान्यः ॥६॥
Adhyavoca dadhi vaktaa prathamo daivyo bhishak । Aheegschcta sarvaan jambhayan thsarvaaschca yaatu dhaanyah अ्ौ यस्िाम्रो अरुण उि बभ्ुः ्ुमंगलः। ये चेमागम ् रुद्रा अशभिो हदक्षु गश्रिाः ्हस्त्रिोऽवैषागं हे ड ईमहे ॥७॥
Asou yastaamro aruna uta babhru ssumangalah । Ye cemaagm Rudraa abhito dikshu shritaassahasrashovaishaagm hedaeemahe अ्ौ योऽव्पयति नीलग्रीवो ववलोहहिः। उिैनं गोपा अदृिन्नदृिन्नुद हाययः । उिैनं ववश्वा भूिातन ् दृर्षटो मद ृ याति नः ॥८॥ Asou yovasarpati neelagreevo vilohitah । Utain gopaa adrishannadrishannudahaaryah । Utainam vishvaa bhootaani sa drishto mridayaati hah नमो अस्िु नीलग्रीवाय ्हस्राक्षाय मीढुषे । अथो ये अस्य ्त्वानोऽहं िेभ्योऽकरन्नमः ॥९॥ Namo astu neelagreevaaya sahasraakshaaya meedhushe । Atho ye asya satvaanohantebhyokarannamah प्रमुंच धन्वनस्त्व मुभयोरार्तत्नय योज्याां ।याश्च िे हस्ि इषवः परा िा भगवो वप ॥१०॥
Pramunca dhanvanastva mubhayoraartniyorjyaam । Yaaschca te hasta ishavah paraa taa bhagavo vapa अवित्य धनुस्त्वगं ्हस्राक्ष ििेषध ु े । तनिीयय िल्यानां मुखा शिवो नः ्ुमना भव ॥११॥ Avatatya dhanustvagm sahasraaksha shateshudhe । Nisheerya shalyaanaam mukhaa shivo nassumanaa bhava ववज्यं धनुः कपहदयनो वविल्यो बाणवाग ्ं उि । अनेिन्नस्येषव आभुरस्य तनषंगगथः ॥१२॥ Vijyan dhanuh kapardino vishalyo baanavaagm uta । Aneshannasyeshava aabhurasya nishangathih या िे हे तिमीढुर्षटम हस्िे बभव ू िे धनःु ।
ियास्मान, ववश्वि स्त्वमयक्ष्मया पररब्भुज ॥१३॥ Yaa te hetirmeedhushtama haste babhoova te dhanuh । Tayaasmaan, vishvatastvamayakshmayaa paribbhuja नमस्िे अस्त्वायुधायानाििाय धर्षृ णवे । उभाभ्यामुि िे नमो बाहुभ्यां िव धन्वने ॥१४ ॥ Namaste astvaayudhaayaa naatataaya dhrishnave । Ubhaabhyaamuta te namo baahubhyaam tava dhanvane परर िे धन्वनो हे तिरस्मान ् वण ृ क्िु ववश्विः । अथो य इषुगधस्िवारे अस्मर्तन्नधेहह िं ॥१५॥

You renounced your ties to home; you conquered lust; your beautiful form puts to shame the lovers of sensual enjoyment. Intoxicated by divine love, you danced; “Be fearless! You destroyed the deceitful and the hypocrites; you fascinated the good. The whole of mankind bows to you, O son of Ramakrishna.

MOORTHA-MAHESHWARA
मूि-य महे श्वर ॥ मूि-य महे श्वरमुज्ज्वल-भास्करशमर्षटममर-नर-वन्द्यम।्
वन्दे वेद-िनुमुर्तज्झि-गहहयि-काञ्चन-काशमनी-बन्धम ् ॥ १ ॥ Moortha-maheśvaram ujjvala-bhāskaram iṣṭam amara-nara-vandyam | vande veda-tanum ujjhita-garhitakāñcana-kāminī-bandham
Lord Siva incarnate, resplendent like the sun, adored by gods and men as their Chosen Ideal, the embodiment of the Vedas who has overcome the bondage of the much censured lust and gold. कोहट-भानक ु र-दीप्ि-श्ंहमहो कहट-िट-कौवपनवन्िम।्
अभीरभीहुयङ्कार-नाहदि-हदङ्मुख-प्रचण्ड-िाण्डव-नत्ृ यम॥् २ ॥ koṭi-bhānukara-dīpta-siṁham aho kaṭi-taṭa-kaupina-vantam | abhīr-abhīr-huṅkāra-nādita-diṅmukhapracaṇḍa-tāṇḍava-nṛtyam
Brilliant with the rays of a million suns, the lion among men, who has nothing but a loin cloth to wear. Who is dancing the violent dance of Siva, the quarters reverberate with the cry of “fear not, fear not”. भर्तु क्ि-मर्तु क्ि-कृपा-कटाक्ष-प्रेक्षणमघ-दल-ववदलन-दक्षम।्
बाल-चन्द्र-धरशमन्द-ु वन्द्यशमह नौशम गुरु-वववेकानन्दम॥् ३ ॥ bhukti-mukti-kṛpā-kaṭākṣa-prekṣaṇam agha-dala-vidalana-dakṣam | bāla-candra-dharam indu-vandyam iha naumi guru-vivekānandam || 3 ||
A mere compassionate glance of whose eyes is enough to impart both enjoyment and liberation; who tramples with ease the hordes of vice. Who is the veritable Siva with the crescent moon on the forehead, and who is worshipped by Indu (Sarat Candra Cakravarti). I bow to the guru, Vivekananda.

You brought new Vedas to a new India and wiped away disharmony among races and religions. You affirmed the sameness of the Atman within everyone and God.
