Ed’s Letter
Hi and welcome to Issue 35 of Supernal Magazine. This has been an extraordinary effort, and I realised as I sat at the PC banging out these words that we are closer to reaching issue 50 than I dreamed we would. It’s been such a beautiful ride so far!
I was asked the other day why I started Supernal, and what have I got out of three years of working on the mag voluntarily? It was a good question from a fellow journo struggling with the state of media affairs here in Australia.
My first thought was before the mag, I thought I knew a bit about journalism and how it works – I’ve been in it for 25 plus years. I also thought I was pretty worldly on matters of interest and spiritualism – I kept up with current affairs and news, I work in the spiritual field, I’ve even authored two complete books and been a part of three co-authored books. Not a bad effort in a short time however…
My answer was very humbly – I can’t believe I know so little!
Supernal was started to help educate people with stories and information from some fantastic people who are often never heard. It was to help raise the consciousness around the globe with love and positive intent and to push boundaries of the mind and spirit to the greater good. Without the team of like-minded souls on board to help me, none of this would have happened and honestly, ‘thank you’ is not enough for this team. They are the ones that are opening my mind and teaching me. They are unique souls!

For those that follow, practice and teach Buddhism, though, the month of May is special as it is recorded that Wesak or Vesak occurring on the full moon is the celebration of Buddha’s birth, passing and enlightenment!
Freya Savitri Sampson has penned a great read on this subject, and while it only touches on the basics of Buddhism, it might be enough to get readers looking into it as a philosophy worthy of living!
While talking about Ascended Masters creating miracles, ShirleySienna has offered a six page tribute to just a few of the Ascended Masters available to help us mere mortals. I found reading this that my consciousness expanded as I was drawn into their essence. Now I have another journey to delve deeply into these etheric beings.

Yours truly has put together some information in the form of an interview with ex-Buddhist monk Dr Nick Ribush. His story from dope-smoking, muso doctor to becoming a Buddhist Monk and publisher is fantastic. ShirleySienna and I also interviewed him for Supernal Radio. The way he talks candidly about his journey is nothing short of amazing and had us both enthralled for the length of the interview. We have some incredible columns this month once again to enjoy. There is some very thought-provoking information to absorb.
I also want to acknowledge Hollie Mariconte for supplying Supernal readers with updates on the Northern Rivers Flood Recovery. We interviewed Hollie for an upcoming radio show regarding her role to showcase just what is and isn’t happening in that area of Australia – they are still needing help! Please take a moment to read her story and see the bigger picture.
Finally, I want to acknowledge all Mum’s out there and hope you had a great day with your kids, animals and family. We sometimes need reminding that our mums and dads, family and especially those who are foster kids and our pets, family are everything!
We hope you all have a Supernal May and through the continuing guidance of Buddha and the Ascended Masters that it continues to open our collective consciousnes’ positively and happily! Anthony Kilner
