It is a record-breaking haul for Superior Wellness this year as we were recognised with seven WhatSpa? and WhatSwimSpa? magazine best buy awards.
The annual awards are selected after rigorous testing and consideration of various criteria, such as style and aesthetics, comfort, hydrotherapy and value for money. Our sweep at these awards is invaluable, as our consistent industry recognition gives consumers real confidence in the Superior Wellness brand and in our world-class products.
Three Platinum Spas models won coveted WhatSpa? Best Buy awards: our 6-person models Refresh and Tokyo and the 8-person Maximus model.
It was a double win for the Aquark Mr Silence air source heat pump, awarded the WhatSpa? Best Buy award for the 7kw pump and the WhatSwimSpa? Best Buy for the 11kw model. The innovative, patented solution was recognised for its sleek design, adaptive, energy-efficient technology and its quiet operation. The Mr Silence model’s noisecancelling technology is said to be between the amplitude of a whisper and soft rainfall, quieter than a domestic fridge.
WhatSwimSpa? also awarded both the Helios swim and spa model and the compact Eros with Best Buy recognition.
Both WhatSpa? and WhatSwimSpa? are seen as the trusted, impartial guide for consumers looking to make an informed investment. The awards mean our partners can proudly display these hallmarks of excellence, both in showrooms and online, for discerning customers to see and recognise.
As our most successful awards-sweep to date, these awards affirm our ambition at Superior Wellness to be the world market leader in hot tubs and swim spas.
“ It’s been a pleasure to see Superior Wellness grow to become such a worldwide success in the hot tub, swim spa and wellness sectors, especially since they are headquartered here in the UK.
Nick Clamp, WhatSpa? Media Group’s Editor-in-Chief
Hosted in rural Warwickshire, the event was an opportunity for the Superior Wellness team to celebrate our valued partner network from across the UK and Europe in a fun atmosphere. A full day of events included outdoor team activities and entertainment, product demonstrations, delicious food and discussion panels, as well as an evening awards ceremony.
New product innovations were on display for our partners to experience first-hand. Chill Tubs Essential was unveiled, alongside a new Hekla
Infrared Sauna. The team gave demonstrations of the products, sharing their benefits for consumers.
The Superior Wellness leadership team were keen to share ambitions for the year ahead that include plans for growth in the US. Global Sales Director Gareth Ward celebrated the achievements of the past 12 months, as well as outlining opportunities for expansion, product improvements and new innovations. With the vision of working as one team with partners, it
was also an opportunity for two-way discussion. Rich Walker, Marketing Director, hosted a panel discussion taking questions and feedback from partners.
For those ready to brave the chill, a Chill Tubs Challenge encouraged partners to take timed dips in the Chill Tubs Pro. Lucky dipper of the day was Yan from Castle Hot Tubs in Wales.
The ChillFest fun continued well into the evening. Festival-style food was on offer,
and attendees were entertained by live acts including a stilt walker, fire performers and live singer and saxophonist, Paul Martyn.
Celebrations included an awards ceremony that recognised excellence in our partner relationships. After a successful year across the entire network, the Superior Wellness team selected 14 winners in its awards categories, ending with the prestigious award of Superior Wellness Partner of Excellence 2023. The winner was Better Living Outdoors.
Everyone attending the event was entered into a free prize draw. The winner was Lewis from Advanced Hot Tubs in Scotland who won a Chill Tubs Obsidian to display in his showroom.
Graham Message, Business Development Manager, said: “The annual partner event
is always a great day and night. We have a fantastic relationship with our partners and value their support and feedback. It was also a great chance to socialise with our partners and have some fun.”
Superior Wellness is focused on delivering best-in-class service to our partners. As part of this initiative, a number of partners attended additional training workshops ahead of ChillFest that included sessions on sales and marketing from the business development and marketing team, as well as after-service and technical training on hot tubs, chill tubs and acrylic repair.
With ambitious plans, Superior ChillFest was a great opportunity for the Superior Wellness team and partners to look forward to an exciting year ahead.

Consumers can customise their spa experience with the option of electric or wood-burning heaters. Chromotherapy is also included, offering more wellness benefits.
All models feature the Aspen thermo wood. The 100% natural wood undergoes an intense, chemical-free heat treatment to give it an attractive appearance, as well as making it a safer, more durable material.
Here’s a round-up of our latest product launches.
• 1-person Infrared 100 • 2-person Infrared 130 • 2-person Infrared 160
These compact infrared saunas are designed to integrate seamlessly into the home environment.
The integration of contemporary technology, such as chromotherapy LED lights and an integrated bluetooth sound system, lets customers set the scene and the temperature at the touch of a button.
The new infrared models, which heat the users’ body rather than the air within the sauna, have a temperature range between 35°C- 60°C which, for some consumers, is more tolerable and allows them to stay in the heat longer.
The Chill Tubs Essential Pod and Bath are the newest additions to our Ice Bath line. These inflatable tubs are designed for those at the beginning of their cold water journey as well as ice bath enthusiasts. Once inflated, the rigid, durable fibreglassreinforced PVC walls provide the perfect environment for a cold plunge experience.
The thermal lid also allows the temperature to maintain as low as three degrees, and both the walls and lid are insulated, keeping the outside weather from affecting the tub.
We’re incredibly excited to be expanding into the USA and can’t wait for our head office there to open in winter this year.

Dallas, we’re coming for you! The world’s fastest growing hot tub manufacturer hits the PSP Expo at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
The event will feature the AquaSolus launch, a Q&A session, live entertainment, a glittering awards ceremony and more. We’d love to see as many of our US partners there as possible. It’s important to preregister by October 1st, and you’ll get three entries into our amazing prize draw where you could win a Platinum Spas Oslo Premium Hot Tub, Hekla Sauna and Chill Tubs Lite. (Open to US dealers only)
After a long, wet winter, the first glimpse of sunshine is a welcome sight. Not only does it lift the spirits but it means homeowners suddenly have an extension to their living space. The extra square footage that an outdoor space offers can be a great place to entertain friends and family in the warmer months. Whether planning to host an afternoon barbeque, a relaxed catch-up with drinks and nibbles, or a get-together for the summer’s sporting events, we’re sharing some ideas for homeowners to transform their gardens into welcoming spaces to socialise - with a hot tub at the core.
Have a space where guests can lounge in comfy chairs while they chat, as well as leaving a little room for people to mix and mingle. Modular seating is a great solution as it means that seating can be adapted for different occasions. A few blankets nearby are a thoughtful touch for when the temperature dips.
It’s hard to beat a barbeque for a garden party, no matter the size. The coals can be sizzling as guests arrive, with much of the food prep sorted beforehand. Or, instead, draw inspiration from the Mediterranean with make-ahead tapas or meze platters for guests to graze or simply offer an informal ‘build your own’ pizza station.
For parties that continue after sun-down, think about practical lighting solutions to guide people along pathways and to softly light the space. Then add more decorative, romantic touches with hurricane lamps, decorative lanterns and string lights, as well as citronella candles to keep the bugs at bay.
Whether it’s the crackle of an open fire or the allure of a bubbling hot tub, create a focal point that brings people together to socialise. A garden spa is not only relaxing and beneficial for health, it is a place for social wellness too. Away from gadgets and distractions, the shared experience of relaxing in a hot tub is a great opportunity to connect with loved ones. It’s also a haven for unpredictable British weather as users can hot tub in rain or shine.
Summer playlist at the ready? Many of our hot tubs have integrated Bluetooth speakers so guests can enjoy tunes to match the mood while they relax with hydrotherapy. The hot tubs also have mood-enhancing LED lighting.
Having a stack of garden games for the more active members of the party is something to consider. Or, for those big sporting moments of the summer, setting up a wireless projector to screen the occasion means guests can share the experience al fresco.
Just like the rest of the home, an outdoor living area can be a welcoming space for friends and family to come together and make the most of the long, sunny days.
French Formula 1 driver Esteban Ocon uses his Chill Tub as an invaluable part of his regular routine.
The French racing driver, who is currently driving for the Alpine team, has always had a passion for driving, going right back to his childhood and influenced by his father’s love of cars. Esteban has had three podium finishes and one win, in Budapest.
Racing is incredibly hard on the body, and cold water as a therapy has always been part of Esteban’s recovery routine after races and when he suffers injuries. Taking the plunge in cold water eases pain and stiffness, and gets the blood flowing through the body.
Esteban says: “If I have any joint pains, tendonitis or inflammation, I’ve definitely felt the benefits of using the Chill Tub. It also helps with controlling breathing and feelings, preparing me mentally to be ready to race again.”
Using his Chill Tub after every race, Esteban has found that it cuts his recovery time in half. Two days of rest and recovery can be reduced to one day when he takes the plunge. He says: “I just feel ready to go again after I’ve done a proper session of recovery in the Chill Tub.”
We’re excited to work with Esteban and thrilled that he has such a positive experience of using his Chill Tub. His testimonial reiterates our message that Chill Tubs can play a positive role in the routines of athletes of many different disciplines.
“IF I HAVE ANY JOINT PAINS, TENDONITIS OR INFLAMMATION, I’VE DEFINITELY FELT THE BENEFITS OF USING THE CHILL TUB. IT ALSO HELPS WITH CONTROLLING BREATHING AND FEELINGS, PREPARING ME MENTALLY TO BE READY TO RACE AGAIN.”

Are you setting and visualising targets?
There is massive value in setting targets for you and your business, whether it’s sales growth, profit, a larger showroom, or more staff.
But how many of us are actually setting targets to achieve our goals? Do we even have goals?
Firstly, it’s important to set out your overall goal. This could be personal or business related, but having a vision of what you want to achieve will help you focus on the targets you set. For example, this could purely be for more sales from the showroom, so set a yearly target number to aim for but make it achievable as this needs to be a motivational exercise.
Tackling a large target can be overwhelming, so breaking this figure down into smaller manageable targets - or short term goalsis important. Set yourself weekly, monthly and quarterly goals as they will help you achieve your overall target.
Visualising your target or goal is also important. Make sure you have your target figure on the wall, on your computer or anywhere you will see it throughout the day, every day. The more you visualise your target, the more subliminal messages you will send to yourself, the more your attitudes and behaviours will be influenced. You ask any Olympic medallist and they will tell you they visualise coming first and receiving gold, all the time.
This process will help motivate you to improve your sales pitch, chasing that prospect who is on the ‘Be Back Bus’, and generally improve your closing ratio because it will ultimately improve your confidence.
Look at the SMART target:
• Be Specific on what you want to achieve
• Be Measurable and have indicators to monitor your progress
• Make it Achievable and understand what is required to reach your target
• Be Realistic with your target and make it motivational for you and your team
• Set Time Frames with dates and keep to them
Find time to make some targets for you and your business. If you are already doing this, then let us know how well they have worked for you. Sharing our knowledge and experiences can only help us all improve what we do long term.

A quick look on social media and you’re likely to see someone cold water swimming or ice bath dipping: cold water immersion is the hot trend of the moment. Consumer demand, for both wild swimming groups and at-home cold water tubs, has grown at pace.
But what are the benefits of braving the chill? Here’s our round-up of the top benefits for dippers.
1 1
It’s a recovery technique: Cold water immersion is a technique favoured by athletes because it’s known to reduce muscle soreness and recovery time after exercise. The cold temperature causes blood vessels to constrict and reduces inflammation in the body.
3
5
2
It can relieve chronic pain: It is the constriction of blood flowvasoconstriction - that explains why icy dips can also relieve chronic joint and muscle pain. As a survival technique in cold water, blood moves towards the body’s major organs. Here it gathers more oxygen and nutrients. Once you emerge from the water and blood vessels expand again - vasodilation - this oxygen-rich blood is sent back to the tissues. It’s believed this helps to reduce swelling which relieves pain and could even encourage healing. It improves circulation: It’s the body’s extremities that lose feeling first in the cold water. As the body alternates between vasoconstriction and vasodilation, and learns to acclimatise to the cold, it enhances blood flow and circulation. Ice baths are also thought to stimulate the release of nitric oxide, a molecule that helps to dilate blood vessels and make them more elastic, improving blood flow.
4
It improves mood: Dipping is thought to relieve fatigue and improve mood. Deliberate cold exposure can be seen as a threat to survival to the body and the sympathetic response of the nervous system is activated. As a result, chemicals are released in the brain, including norepinephrine and dopamine, so dippers often report the experience as a natural high.
It builds resilience in body and mind: It takes a strong will to submerge your body into a freezing body of water. The habitual act of cold water immersion, overcoming mental resistance and exposing the body to a short-term stressor can help to build a more resilient mindset. There’s a theory that these deliberate “micro-stressors” can also train the immune system to become more resilient too, more able to handle other stressors like infection and injury, though more research is needed.
6
It increases metabolism: Exposure to the cold triggers the body to produce heat by moving it into ‘fat burning’ mode, making energy readily available. Cold therapy is thought to activate what’s known as ‘brown fat’, increasing the number of calories your body burns for heat production, and temporarily increasing its metabolic rate.
Chill Tubs has a range of cold plunge ice baths available, from the inflatable Essential Pod for dipping experimenters, through to the premium Obsidian and Pro models designed for cold water enthusiasts and elite athletes.
Would you prefer an icy dip or a sweat in a sauna?
Both wellness practices expose the body to a mild and deliberate stress, through heat exposure or cold immersion, to encourage its adaptation.
When practised carefully, both approaches induce hormesis - an adaptive response to micro-stresses - which has been linked to longevity, but yet the two approaches are polar opposite.
Deliberate cold exposure triggers the body to respond to preserve its core temperature and protect vital organs. Blood vessels contract, sending blood flow away from the extremities and towards the core.
Heat stress triggers blood vessels to widen, increasing blood flow around the body, including to the skin’s surface to release excess heat.
HEAT THERAPY BENEFITS AT A GLANCE:
• Increases circulation.
• Improves cardiovascular health and can reduce blood pressure.
• Releases muscle tension.
• Encourages repair and recovery of muscles.
• Promotes detoxification and skin rejuvenation.
• Releases feel-good hormones with a relaxation response.
Both stresses create response and adaptation in the body.
Each practice has an opposing effect but offer similar benefits to the body, particularly when it comes to muscle recovery and improved performance. Both are thought to have a positive influence on the immune system and are effective at reducing inflammation, though by different methods.
The key difference is in the after-effects.
The grit and determination it takes to intentionally plunge in cold water helps build mental resilience. The post-dip feeling is one that’s invigorating and euphoric.
Saunas, on the other hand, offer an escape, relieving stress and tension. The sauna effect is one of relaxation.
Whether ice-dipping or sauna bathing, the wellbeing benefits are clear Which practice suits a person best comes down to individual preference and specific wellbeing goal.
COLD WATER IMMERSION BENEFITS AT A GLANCE:
• Reduces inflammation and swelling.
• Improves circulation after exposure.
• Reduces delayed-onset muscle soreness.
• Encourages faster recovery after exercise.
• Increases mental resilience.
• Releases feel-good hormones with an invigorating effect.
