Polymer Paint Sealant

First introduced into the UK in 1988, the unique applicator that contains a polymer sealant has been applied to over 6 million vehicles. The Supagard polymer product is a single stage application which cleans, preserves and protects the paintwork of your vehicle. This unique chemical formula is made up of three key components. Calcium carbonates remove unwanted contamination from the surface, creating a smooth foundation. Hydrophobic polymers then adhere to the clean foundation and begin to fuse with the elastomeric molecules that seal in the paintwork. Our chemical make-up improves year on year, using the latest technologies to ensure the most advanced formulas are being used on today’s new car paintwork.

The Science

Air tight sealed sachet

Bottom layer open sponge

The red and black sponges are fused with the polymer sachet inside. This avoids cross contamination and ensures the correct amount of product is applied to the surface of the vehicle.

Calcium carbonates remove imperfections

Stage 1

Chemically designed to remove all contamination leaving a smooth finish on all paintwork.

Hydrophobic polymer creates barrier

Stage 2

The hydrophobic polymers adhere in the surface creating a barrier.

Elastomeric polymers fuse to surface

Stage 3

The elastomeric polymers chemically fuse to the hydrophobic polymers sealing in the surface.

Polysilazane Paint Sealant

First introduced in 2001, this two stage ceramic (Polysilazane) paint sealant is designed for all surfaces. With the introduction of textured and matt paints this became the chosen sealant for these types of substrates. High active materials allow the detailer to apply to black plastic surfaces as well as glossy ones.

The Product

A combination of 5 polymers makes our polysilazane much stronger than the standard ceramics in the marketplace. Our polysilazane contains up to 50% active materials.

The Science

Held in ammonia, the polysilazane is held together

Once applied to the surface, the amino molecules spring open.

Under the Microscope

They are attracted to the other amino molecules and form a tough net. This is polysilazane under a microscope as it forms this impenetrable barrier.

Fabric Protection

Our Fabric Protection is designed around C6 molecular technology. This Fluorocarbon formula allows the protection to bond to the surface, creating an invisible shield. This prevents any liquid from penetrating the surface, making the substrate getting damaged from accidental spills and the likes.

Unprotected Fabric

Liquid and dirt are free to penetrate the fibres of untreated seats.

Stained Fabric

These fibres have been stained by a coffee spill. Often, stains are rubbed while trying to remove them, making them worse and ingrained to the fabric.

Protected Fabric

Liquids and dirt can’t penetrate the fabric once coated with our Fabric Protector. Therefore it may pass between or rest above fibres but won’t affect them.

Leather Protection

Our leather protection comes with a lifetime of ownership guarantee. We have a network of professional leather specialists looking after the entire UK, in the unlikely event of a guarantee claim.

The Product

Using similar C6 fluorocarbon technology this emulsified chemical creates a barrier to protect against dirt and dye transfer from clothing.

Stained Leather

Liquid and dirt are free to penetrate the pores of untreated seats.

These pores have been stained by a coffee spill. Often, stains are rubbed while trying to remove them, making them worse and ingrained to the leather.

Protected Leather

Liquids and dirt can’t penetrate the leather once coated with our Leather Protector. Therefore it may pass between or rest above pores but won’t affect them.

Leather Wipes

A quick and easy solution to protect your leather upholstery against stains. The wipes are impregnated with a stain preventive which is designed to protect against both oil and water based soils, and spreads into the pores of the leather, leaving a supple feeling.

When the leather maintenance wipes are used regularly they will keep your leather upholstery looking cleaner and fresher for longer.

SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEY

OUR BOTTLES

Sustainability is high on our agenda after the Cop26 conference in Glasgow displaying what is happening to our planet.

Supagard took the pledge that we would stop selling products unless they come from a sustainable route. Starting off with our plastic bottles, we changed from black to silver because we realised that silver recycles more easily than black. In fact black plastic mostly goes to landfill whereas our new silver bottles are made from 40% recycled plastics.

+OUR TRIGGERS

Supagard have developed two trigger heads which produce a different effect once the trigger is pulled. The trigger on the left is designed to dispense the product in a foam to slow down the cleaning process and allow the chemical to penetrate the contaminate. The trigger on the right targets the exact area which prevents over-spray.

All our customer handover kits come from a recycled source. All our bags are made from recycled plastic bottles.

STAGE 2

Sorting Process.

A team of workers and machines work together to sort the waste f rom the usable plastic to avoid contamination into the next stages.

STAGE 1

Recycling Centre.

When you recycle your plastic bottles they are transferred to a recycling centre. Once at the centre, they are unpacked and sent to processing.

STAGE 4

Bathing Process.

Moved to a water tank, large grids submerged in the water rotate and sift through the plastic seperating even more debris f rom the useful material.

Baking Process.

The plastic is then placed into large rotating drums and moved into heated ovens. This allows the plastic to dry without it melting.

STAGE 3

Shredding Process.

Once the plastic has been sorted, it s placed onto a conveyor belt which takes it to the shredding unit

Concentrated Bathing.

The pieces are then placed into a large vat of heated water. This ensures all contaminants have been removed such as left over labels or solvents stuck to the plastic

Stringing Process.

Once the liquid plastic is exposed to a lower temperature this creates the strings needed for the treading process.
