This thesis is aimed at understanding and integrating the built environment with the
requirements of street children and slum children.
The proposal is to design a centre for them so as to create an enabling environment
comprising of learning space, rehabilitation and accommodation. Architectural Spatial
planning and design go beyond superficial aesthetic appeal and affect the user
psychologically, addressing their needs and designing accommodation based on their
behavioural, cultural and social aspects.
