The Prescent – The Gift of Ambience, The Art of Fragrance, The Essence of Sophistication.
In 2019, in the heart of Chiang Mai, Thailand, The Prescent was born with a simple goal: to make your home smell amazing and look beautiful. We wanted to create something special, something that would make people feel warm and sophisticated right in their own homes.
We make soy wax candles, room sprays, and reed diffusers that are not just nice-smelling but also safe to use and lovely to look at. Imagine coming home to a space that smells incredible and feels cozy – that’s what we want to bring to you.
Craftsmanship
We intentionally create unique scents and design our pieces to look simple and elegant. We believe in handcrafted products with good smell can create your home ambience and fascinating decor at the same time.
Our Story
In October 2018, one of the co-founders developed an interest in creating dreadlocks. At that time, there were limited hair care products available in the market for this unique hairstyle. It became evident that conventional shampoos were unsuitable, as they left residues that could disrupt the locks. This sparked a quest for knowledge about suitable hair care solutions, leading to the discovery of essential oils and their benefits. This revelation ignited a passion for further exploration in this field.
By December 2018, the co-founder delved deeper into the world of aromatic therapy, focusing on scents that could influence emotions and well-being. With the support of family and friends from university, the first product of the brand was born: Pure Essential Oil.
In 2019, the brand’s first slogan, ”Be Your Own Aroma,” was created, alongside the development of an aroma diffuser.
The year 2020 saw advancements in the aroma diffuser technology and the introduction of a new product: Soy Wax Candles. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic led to increased promotional efforts across various brand channels.
In 2021, a second co-founder joined forces, leading to the production of specialty candles for festivals. This initiative significantly boosted the brand’s visibility, particularly with the creation of soy wax candles that could be personalized with lettering—a product still available today. Additionally, 2021 marked a pivotal year for research and development, refining product designs and packaging.
By 2023, The Prescent registered as a company and expanded the product line to include eight distinct fragrances across four types.

AM With the support of friends, the business evolved into a more formal company structure, helping to establish a stronger presence in the market. This year also brought about a logo redesign, reflecting the brand’s latest identity.

Care information
1. Always trim the wick at least 0.5 cm. to prevent uneven burning.
2. Let the wax melt to the edge of the glass.
3. Avoid drafts, vent or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning and sooting.
4. Light your Candle at least 2-3 hours at the first time and 1 hour at a time during remaining.
5. Use The Prescent candle lid to extinguish the candle.
