NEWANGLE

onstructed pieces offer a modern strength to SS15. Take style notes from Dior, Prada and Osman. And sunglasses are cut to precision too this season. All detail is stripped back whilst focus is on the architectural angles. Celine delivers unexpected lines and shapes to Marta and Strat. Think oversized and bold hexagonal at Prada. Dior explores modern structure through openwork metal. Emporio Armani’s angles are cut sharp. And McQ reworks the cat.

Celine sunglasses reveal minimalism with a twist - fitting for the season’s new angle trend. Marta flaunts a bold angular shape and impressive layered acetate. Red is backed with ivory and beige - all key Celine colours. For the colour shy the black version provides no less of a statement. The Celine logo accompanies signature hinge pins. Handcrafted Marta stars in the house’s summer campaign modeled by American author Joan Didion.

EMPORIO ARMANI 4027

Emporio Armani 4027 sunglasses are a sleek, easy take on the trend in timeless high definition black. Sharp chic beveled temples are cut with sleek metal. A straight brow adds more definition. 4027’s curved bottom softens the look. The Emporio Armani logo picks up on the metal for a coordinated look you’ll love to bring in line with your jewellery.

DIOR SO ELECTRIC

Have you ever seen anything like these? Nor us. Dior So Electric is the house’s unique cruise ‘15 catwalk show piece. The modern and retro Parisian combines with the chic and dynamic New Yorker. Thin gold metal creates a stunning aerial frame, the perfect expression of Raf Simons‘ love of the architectural. Temples are deconstructed and open worked. Fresh white acetate brows contrast with opulent metal in this couture masterpiece.

MCQ 0006S

McQ is Alexander McQueen’s more laid back line. But as this cat proves edge is inherent. The traditional cat eye evokes ladylike glamour. McQ has naturally given it a harder edge. The curved bottom keeps the cat’s femininity. Sleek metal temples up the glamour. The McQ logo gives you serious fashion cred.

Rich burgundy frequently seen on the Celine runway is such a sophisticated way to wear colour. In Strat a old metal core is exposed between the bold luxuriant acetate silhouette for a slick tough luxe look. As ever Celine’s bold masculine aesthetic is tempered by ease of wear with expert angling and flattering oversize.

MIU MIU 06QS

The bold square silhouette with its outrageous raw cut ensures your look trumps the rest in Miu Miu Rasoir (Razor) 06QS. Miu Miu branded temples displays your fashion affiliation for all to see. Fabulous exclusive havana is in trendy lilac.

PRADA 16RS

As ever Prada makes the progressive infinitely desirable and more importantly wearable. Angles expertly handcrafted are just so as to flatter in this extraordinary sunglass. Taking in the whole frame angles repeat at the temples too so you’ll literally look stunning from every angle. Prada 16RS is made from the best Italian acetate there is by skilled artisans. As you’d expect from the premier Italian house.

BURBERRY 4193 GABARDINE

Revolutionary gabardine was invented by Burberry founder Thomas Burberry in 1879. The tough crease resistant cloth is integral to Burberry’s iconic trench coat. In these celebratory sunglasses (also handmade like the trench) it’s recreated with its characteristic diagonal lines in draped effect metal temples. An oversized butterfly shaped frame is highly flattering whilst giving you a trendy angular silhouette.
