Little Free Library at Lime Bluff Park
In recognition of the 200,000th Little Free Library milestone, LFL invited Title I elementary schools in the U.S. to apply to receive one of 200 Little Free Library book-sharing boxes. Each library includes 200 engaging and diverse books from Penguin Random House, which is donating 40,000 books in all.
Katie Ulmer, a resident of Hughesville, entered a contest through The Little Free Library, and was one of 200 nationwide winners to receive a Little Free Library, as well as 200 free books
from Random House Publishing. After attending a Wolf Township meeting in the Spring, it was decided to place the Little Free Library at Lime Bluff Park, so Hughesville and surrounding community residents could enjoy it. “Placing it at the local park just made sense. Since Lime Bluff Park is used by families, organizations, clubs, and sports, placing The Little Free Library there would positively impact a large portion of our community,” Ulmer stated. She will be continuing to restock the Little Free Library with a variety of books. “There are new and gently used books, self-help, children’s, and informational books available. Everyone should feel free to take a book and/or leave a book! You may even find treats and trinkets!” she remarked.
