OBLIQUE 1’-0= 1/8”

Vinyl Veil is a 15,000-squarefoot musical archive designed to preserve and celebrate the legacy of vinyl records. The building’s industrial aesthetic is defined by a 2-foot offset perforated copper facade, creating a moody yet inviting presence that plays with light, shadow, and sound.

Longitudinal Section

This project aims to bridge the divide between communities by redefining shared spaces and enhancing connectivity through sustainable design. Focused on promoting biking as a central mode of transportation, the building serves as a hub for community interaction and education along with housing catered for students and young adults. It features bike workshops and repair facilities, along with classrooms dedicated to teaching bike safety, maintenance, and advocacy.

Structural Oblique

STRUCTURAL OBLIQUE 1/8” = 1’0”

Connecting the program with the site, the tesselations are a way to minimize and control sunlight and wind as well as providing an aesthetic purpose to bring people in. Getting a hands on experience with the recycle center, the visitors are able to interact and walk-through exhibitions viewing what goes on behind the process and seeing how it can be re-purposed as they walk through the exhibitions outdoors. Opening parts of the structure up with a sense of opaqueness in the glass, the building allows for comfort using the idea of the human experience connecting them with the depth of the structure itself.
