A proud sponsor of the 2023 SCM Invitational Golf
Tournament Partnering with Amwins is more than a business transaction. We tout a deep bench of industry experts, each committed to strategizing and investing in your success. Comprised of five core divisions and a worldwide reach, our dedicated specialists leverage the in-depth knowledge, exclusive products, market relationships, and resources of our entire firm all to achieve one goal: helping you win.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our 2023 Inaugural SCM Invitational Golf Tournament. It’s been a spectacular day of fun at the Coyote Hills Golf Course, an award-winning 18-hole, par 70 course with scenic vistas of Los Angeles and Orange County. With games and prizes at almost every tee box, and a round of golf with good company – it was an all-around fantastic event. Some of you may recall, or have possibly heard, that for decades prior to the pandemic, SCM hosted a big party on or around Groundhog Day. The purpose of our event was to give SCM producers, account executives and agency leadership an opportunity to refresh and solidify relationships with our valued business partners. And while today’s event is the restart of that Groundhog Day tradition and meaningful purpose, it now has an even greater goal: By participating in the golf tournament you get to make a difference.
The SCM Team each year supports a diverse spectrum of non-profit organizations serving those most impacted by various circumstances and challenges, and we are grateful for your partnership in our efforts to uplift our neighboring communities. This year’s beneficiaries are Inland Empire Lighthouse for the Blind and San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center. (You can read more about them on page 4.)
In addition to the funds raised from the various levels of sponsorship
options, the awards dinner features a raffle to generate money for local charitable organizations.
We thank all our partners for their generous support through sponsorships, goodies for the swag bags, raffle items, and the wonderful participation of some outstanding golfers at every skill level.
This has truly been an exciting event and we look forward to hosting our Second Annual SCM Invitation Golf Tournament.
At Inland Empire Lighthouse for the Blind, legally and totally blind individuals are taught independent
daily living skills. They are also provided with recreational social outlets because, through the years, the organization has learned that providing a space for fellowship and comradery is the best
forum for learning to accept visual loss. The Lighthouse sponsors several outings and parties throughout the year. The organization’s programs, classes and activities are designed
to teach and enrich the lives of the people they serve, emphasizing the tremendous potential, independence, and joy possible for those living with eyesight challenges. (continued on page 8)
All proceeds go to charitable organizations in SCM’s local communities. SCM would like to thank all of our donors to the swag bags and raffle.

Smart is knowing how to be first. Smart is knowing who to call to get the job done. Smart is knowing more information than the person next to you. Smart is being prepared. Smart is efficient. Smart is out-thinking the competition. Smart is being ready. Your first place to turn for wholesale and specialty insurance is to the company placing you first. And that’s smart.
