Kuo-Ting (Ken) Hung (PhD, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor), Chair and Associate Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management has expertise in operations management, supply chain management, simulation modeling, and new product development. Hung’s research has been recognized with awards from both the Decision Sciences Institute and the Academy of Management. He is published widely in highly respected journals including Journal of Operations Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of Managerial Issues, and International Journal of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Lin Guo (PhD, Boston College), Associate Professor of Finance, has particular interests and expertise in corporate finance, financial institutions and international finance. Guo has served on the Shanghai Stock Exchange as a Visiting Senior Financial Economist and worked with the Shanghai Futures Exchange. She has been an invited visiting scholar in the Stern School of Business at New York University’s Finance department and has numerous articles published in leading finance journals including Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Financial Intermediation, and Journal of Empirical Finance.

Asmaa Quorrich, MBA ‘04 Regional Marketing Manager Middle East and Africa Pepsico

Get to know Asmaa Quorrich and you’ll recognize very quickly, she is a person of influence. In the Suffolk MBA, Quorrich earned a marketing concentration and completed two internships. After graduation, she was hired by Procter & Gamble Morocco and definitely made her mark there. As Senior Assistant Brand Manager, she led strategic projects for both Morocco and Algeria within P&G’s Beauty Care Category; and she co-produced and wrote a scenario of a short film for the P&G CEO. In July 2006, Quorrich moved to another global powerhouse, assuming the role of Regional Marketing Manager for Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia at Pepsico.

Toshio Soto, MBA ‘04 From CPA to CEO

When Toshio Soto left Japan for the Suffolk MBA, he left his job as senior manager at the Yamada CPA Firm. A Graduate Fellow in Suffolk’s accounting department, he mentored undergraduates in accounting and finance. Soto added Suffolk’s MS in Taxation to his MBA, taking advantage of the joint degree option. Returning to Japan, Soto was offered the CEO position at a Yamada spin-off firm. Today he is president of the Owner Management Research Institute, part of the TFP Consulting Group. His thriving business provides financial consulting and asset management for owner-management companies; and economic research and policy proposals to regulators and governments. Soto continues to broaden his network in Boston, paying Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School his highest compliment by referring employees to its graduate programs.
