Among the employers of our alumni are: Ernst & Young, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte & Touche, State Street Corporation, and John Hancock. • Outstanding Faculty Suffolk University’s faculty hail from all over the world. Our accounting faculty are experienced and dedicated professionals, each of whom brings a unique perspective to their teaching. Many are CPAs who have worked at leading accounting firms or held high-level corporate positions prior to teaching full-time. Others are Ph.D.s who conduct cutting-edge research and publish in leading accounting and business journals. In short, the accounting faculty offer a combination of academically and professionally qualified individuals, maximizing students’ learning potential. Classes are never taught by teaching assistants (TAs) at Suffolk, meaning that every class is taught by a bona fide highly qualified faculty member. • Diverse Student Body Our programs boast students with a broad range of professional experience, cultural backgrounds, and undergraduate degrees. • AACSB Accreditation The Sawyer Business School is accredited by AACSB International — the premier accrediting agency for business schools. The Accounting Department has also earned additional AACSB accreditation which includes the MSA and MST programs. We are proud to be the only such programs in Boston and one of only three institutions in Massachusetts, to have earned this prestigious program recognition. • Accounting Advisory Board The membership of our Accounting Advisory Board, which influences the strategic direction of our programs and curriculum, includes partners from the “Big 4” and other prominent CPA firms, as well as top executives from the Boston business community. • Recruiting Our annual Meet the Firms Night features over 20 of the top international, regional and local public accounting firms, giving students an opportunity to network with professionals from these firms prior to the recruiting season. Most major firms recruit on campus for both full-time and internship positions. • Networking Opportunities In addition to our annual networking social for alumni and current students, we offer several professional seminars and other less formal events throughout the year, giving our students ample opportunity to network with alums and potential employers. • Flexibility Our programs offer flexible scheduling, allowing students to move at their own pace and take classes at times that work best with their own schedules. All classes are offered in the evening with an option to take two classes, back-to-back. • Location Suffolk University is located in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston, in the shadow of the State House and in the heart of the financial district. Our campus is easily accessible from both North and South Station and several MBTA stops.
