On the heels of historic pandemic shutdowns, State of Georgia secures highest bond ratings

from press release Governor Brian P. Kemp announced Georgia again secured the highest ratings of AAA with a stable outlook from each of the three main credit rating agencies. Of the states that issue general obligation bonds, only nine currently meet this standard. Georgia’s upcoming general obligation bond sale will fund over $1.1 billion in capital projects. Newly formed Liberty Forum piques the interest of area elected officials

Guest speaker for the most recent Liberty Forum event was Cole Muzio, second from left. He is president and executive director of the Family Policy Alliance of Georgia, and gave the presentation “Focus on the Family” at the May 25, 2021 Liberty Forum. Shown second from right is Clint Chance, one of the founders of the newly formed Liberty Forum group. Chance is also the Carroll County Commissioner for District 2, but stressed that Liberty Forum is not affiliated with any political party. Chance stated that these Forums are open to all interested persons wishing to “make a difference in our nation’s future by engaging through local involvement”. The May 25th presentation, and the open discussion that followed, piqued the interest of a crowd of about forty citizens including, above left, Matthew Momtahan, Villa Rica City Council member for Ward 2, and, right, Jim Watters, City of Carrollton Council member for Ward 3.
