by Janice Daniel On Thursday, September 30, 2021, the Carroll County Board of Commissioners met at 4 p.m. for a work session. All Commissioners were present, and the meeting was called to order by Chairman Michelle Morgan. Finance Director Alecia Searcy presented the August, 2021 financial recap. Revenue was $6,663,191, up $1,182,000 over last year. Sales tax and all other economic taxes are doing well, State Court fines are already at 23% of budget. Property taxes are up, primarily due to collection of taxes due from prior years. Expenses for August were at $9,151,540, up from last year by $707,000. The Fund Balance is
