KIVAH’S DREAM
Inspired by the ethereal beauty of universal elements and their interaction with the planet earth, this project creates a narrative around the character Kivah, the spirit essence of helium. Portrayed as a muse, Kivah embodies the significance of helium—the second element to emerge after the Big Bang, fundamental to star formation and the nucleosynthesis that creates all other elements.
The project captures the essence of pre-existence, with the desert symbolizing a time before the universe, where Kivah exists in a dream state, contemplating her emergence into the world. Each photograph represents a fragment of Kivah’s dream, illustrating her aspirations and connections to humanity.
With a poetic narrative, the images explore themes of limitation and transcendence.
Just as a helium balloon, bound by its earthly vessel, longs to escape the atmosphere, Kivah yearns to break free into the limitless universe. The text accompanying the visuals encapsulates her journey from dreaming to existing, capturing the allure of the infinite possibilities that lie beyond.

WONDER,
AS IF THE PLANET ITSELF EXHALED WITH ITS FADING LIGHT.
MORPHOSIS
AS THE SUN VANISHES, KIVAH FEELS A STRANGE UNEASE AND HID WITHIN HER ETHEREAL ELEMENT FOR PROTECTION. THEN TRANSFORMING INTO LIGHT, SHE FLOATS THROUGH THE NIGHT, ADAPTING TO ITS MYSTERIES.
IS IT ALL A DREAM?
KIVAH WAKES UP SURROUNDED BY ENDLESS SAND DUNES, BUT SOMETHING FEELS OFF. IS THIS ANOTHER PLACE? ANOTHER DREAM? SHE WONDERS IF SHE’S REALLY AWAKE AT ALL.
INVISIBLE BURDEN
THE INVISIBLE BURDEN GROWS HEAVIER WITHIN THIS DREAM, AND KIVAH’S ONLY WAY TO BREATHE AGAIN IS TO SCREAM IT ALL OUT.
LUCID DREAM
WHEN KIVAH RELEASES HER BURDEN, SHE REALIZES SHE’S IN A LUCID DREAM, FREE TO BECOME HUMAN OR LIGHT. HER DREAMS ARE FRAGMENTS OF A TIME BEFORE THE UNIVERSE, IMAGES BORN FROM NOTHINGNESS, SHE HASN’T COME INTO EXISTENCE YET.
DEFLATING
AND THEN KIVAH
WONDERS: WHAT IS EXISTENCE? SHE FEELS THE DREAM DEFLATING, UNRAVELING AROUND HER. SHE FINDS HERSELF QUESTIONING EVERYTHING: IS THE UNIVERSE REAL? IS SHE PART OF IT, OR JUST A FLEETING THOUGHT IN ITS ENDLESS EXPANSE?
VESSELS
AFTER QUESTIONING SO MUCH, KIVAH FEELS TRAPPED WITHIN FRAGILE VESSELS, HER ESSENCE CONFINED. IN THESE MOMENTS, SHE YEARNS TO BREAK FREE AND DISSOLVE INTO THE INFINITE, ACCEPTING THE UNCERTAINTY OF THE UNKNOWN.
INTERLOOP AND WITH A FINAL STEP, KIVAH DISAPPEARS INTO THE BOUNDLESS UNKNOWN, MOVING THROUGH INFINITE DIMENSIONS WITHOUT PAUSE.
HER JOURNEY HAS NO END, ONLY THE PROMISE OF ENDLESS DISCOVERY, LEAVING BEHIND THE MYSTERY OF EXISTENCE
LIQUID MOON
MIRRORING
KIVAH FINDS HERSELF IN A STRANGE NEW DREAMSCAPE, HER SENSES TINGLING WITH ANTICIPATION.
FIRE PORTAL
KIVAH STANDS BEFORE A SHIMMERING PORTAL, ITS EDGES PULSING WITH AN EERIE GLOW. UNCERTAIN OF WHAT LIES BEYOND, SHE FEELS AN UNDENIABLE PULL. DESPITE THE UNKNOWN, HER INSTINCTS PUSH HER ON.
THE ENCOUNTER
AFTER JOURNEYING THROUGH VARIOUS DIMENSIONS AND CROSSING THE PORTAL, KIVAH IS STUNNED TO MEET HER PROTECTOR AND GUIDE, WHO IS WITH HER THE WHOLE TIME.
KIVAH’S DREAM IS A MAGICAL WORLD OF ILLUSION WITH MANY DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS. @WOFILLUSION
