OROQUIETA City––Finally, after 30 years, the city’s Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) under Mayor Jason Paredes Almonte acquired recently two fire emergency vehicles worth P4.5 million to augment the requirement of the city firefighting equipment and disaster preparedness program. Mayor Almonte said that with 5% calamity fund the city ultimately addresses its disaster risk reduction and preparedness plans and program through the newly establish City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. OROQUIETA City--Starting October 1, the City of Good Life celebrates its town fiesta in honor of Oroquieta’s Patron Saint, Birhen sa Santo Rosaryo. The celebration will culminate on October 31 this year. Other activites such as The Search for Ms. Oroquieta City-Tourism 2013, Concept Parade, Fireworks Display Competition, Concert for Peace by the FreeStyle and The Dawn are expected to be the crowd drawers of this year’s celebration.
