PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTER, Pasay City – The Department of Agriculture (DA) honored the 2015 Outstanding Rural Women in the country in awarding ceremonies last June 19, 2015 at the Philippine International Convention Center here. Among the nation’s top six outstanding women is Caraga Region’s pride, Ms. Nelly Seletaria-Arangali from Barangay Kinamlutan, Butuan City. The 66-year old housewife took the second place. Aside from the honor, the DA awarded her a plaque of recognition and a cash prize of P75,000. The 2015 Search for Outstanding Rural Women is part of the DA’s Gender and Equality Development (GAD) annual activities geared towards gender equality and empowerment of women.
