Asianbrands Motors Corporation Launches Mahindra Dealer Expansion Program Asianbrands Motors Corporation, distributor of Mahindra vehicles in the Philippines, recently launched its aggressive expansion program in the country with three new dealerships in Luzon, namely Quirino Ave., Las Piñas, and Pasay in Metro Manila. Complementing the Luzon network will be three more dealerships namely, Cebu in the Visayas region, plus Cagayan de Oro and Butuan in Mindanao, which will be opening in the next two months. Leading motorcycle retailer Ropali Corporation celebrated the 40th anniversary of its founding with a grand party held at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City. The event also commemorated the 65th birthday of its founder and President, Roberto P. Alingog. Gracing the event were government officials

and business partners, including former Senator Manny Villar, former Finance Secretary Gary Teves, LANDBANK President and CEO Gilda E. Pico, TECO Vice President George Lien, and Yanmar Japan Vice President Yasuji Arima. Also in attendance were Alingog’s family, friends, longtime employees, and trusted advisers.

Association (TMA), Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has enjoyed a 58.2-percent sales growth for the first half of 2015 after selling 10,169 units in the first six months of 2015 as against the 6,429 unitsfor the same period in 2014. The said figures placed IPC in the fourth place among local automotive manufacturers with

7.1-percent of the market share. Isuzu’s sales performance can be attributed to the success of the newly-introduced Isuzu mu-X. Launched September last year, the mu-X has sold 4,819 units from January to June of 2015, which is 47.38-percent of the Isuzu’s total volume sales on the said duration.

Further, the said figures showed that the Filipinos continue to prefer IPC’s N-Series truck in the commercial vehicle category. Isuzu’s NHR and NKR light commercial trucks boosted its sales yearto-date (YTD) with 1,389 units sold in 2015 versus 1,010 units in 2014. The figure shows a 37.5-percent gain.
