2015: Year of the sheep

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2015 is the Year of the Sheep, which begins on February 19, 2015, and ends on February 7, 2016, an online shop reported. The Sheep is the Eighth Sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 Animal Signs, said a report published on the website of springsgreetingcards.com. It is lucky that the Sheep is ranked eighth in the cycle of Chinese Zodiac Animals, because the number “eight” in Chinese is an auspicious one, symbolizing peace and prosperity, it said. THE LPG Marketers’ Association (LPG-MA) has urged the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to promptly make public the list of cities and municipalities that received the 117 new fire trucks under the modernization program of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). “C ong ress gave t he DILG a total of P1 billion for the acquisition of the 117 fire trucks. People are starting to ask where these new (firefighting) vehicles are. They haven’t seen the trucks responding to fire emergencies,” said House Deputy Minority Leader and LPG-MA Rep. Arnel Ty. “When there are blazes, people don’t see the new trucks in action as first responders. What they see right away are the trucks of the Filipino-Chinese Volunteer Fire Brigades,” Ty said in a press statement. “Which local government units obtained the new fire trucks?
