Briefly Airport shutdown THE Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Tuesday suspended all commercial operations at Zamboanga International Airport amid heavy rains that flooded its runway. In a statement, CAAP said it issued a NOTAM (notice to airman) from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm yesterday after continuous rain caused widespread flooding in the city. CAAP said it will issue an advisory by 7:00 am on Wednesday if another NOTAM will be issued for that day. “Passengers affected by said flight cancellations are advised to contact their respective airlines for flight schedules,” CAAP said.

AVAO City -- To prevent issues on tax sharing between the local government units of Davao City and Davao del Sur because of its coal-fired power plant, AboitizPower Corpation has proposed an equal sharing of seventy percent of its taxes based on a Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) decision.
