MyPhone opens the What Makes A Good Leader First-ever Selfie Store! EMPRESS M MyPhone will surely make your mobile phone shopping more fun with the first-ever MyPhone Selfie Store, at Cyberzone SM Mall of Asia, launched last October 4. The said launch was attended by MyPhone endorsers Devon Seron and Kyle Vergara. Other guest stars were StarStruck’s Faith de Silva, and heartthrobs Brandon Bautista and Vince Soriano. Also present in the event were the MyPhone Team headed by its CEO and President David Lim, Dealers Leo and Ellen Bernardino, and MyPhone Selfie Store designer contemporary artist Leeroy New. The store’s aim is to invite more people to visit the store and take their selfies in it. In a country known as the selfie capital of the world, customers would definitely try to get their wackiest shots taken in each stores distinct images. His experiential concept on the store design will definitely give people an out of this world selfie experience. The main aim of the brand in creating these kinds of stores is to help promote young Filipino artists, which had been one of the company’s advocacies ever since. Given that different artists will be working on each of the store, there would be no similarities on their looks. The only connection these MyPhone stores have is its Filipino heart shown in each of the crafts, complementing the heart embedded on the products it sells. The Selfie store is not just a feast for the eyes, but for your ears and mind as well. Rather than playing music, the store has a bunch of trivia for its visitors featuring exclusive contents from the MyPhone Pinoy App. Visitors will get to learn chunks of the country's history and culture by simply listening from the wide variety of audio trivia clips. Contents played will vary from the most vital parts of the Philippine history, its heroes and famous artists, down to the local riddles or Bugtong and the famous cheesy pickup lines. “With the help of our homegrown artists, we will be able to make the MyPhone Selfie store an image of the Philippines, everything beautiful in it. It will be about MyPhone and the heart embedded in it,” shared MyPhone CEO David S. Lim. The MyPhone Selfie store in SM Mall of Asia will not be the last store to be transformed into an artistic hub. MyPhone will be creating other selfie stores in major cities and provinces in the Philippines to promote the local art scene, and to continue its aim of uplifting the Filipino Pride. MyPhone will also have its MyPhone Selfie Store Contest. Just by taking selfies inside the stores and uploading it online, you’ll have the chance to win a MyPhone RIO Pixie. ince the filing of certificates of candidacy for the May 9, 2016 election is already next week, it's time for me to lightly touch politics in today's article. Whenever I start talking about politics, everyone keeps quiet and listens. Maybe because they think that all I know is to cook and go shopping or maybe because I am still young? Little did they know that I am a lot more than that. Whenever I talk about politics, I naturally do it very passionately with confidence and vigor that those who are listening usually becomes bewildered, initially intimidated or some couldn't grasp what I am talking about at first but they eventually reach the point of enlightenment and end-up agreeing with me. It is also seldom that I get to talk with older people who understand my point. Maybe their views are more conservative and mine are more advanced? So, what are the traits of a good leader? I can go on and on and on but here are just SOME OF MY THOUGHTS... LOVE. A great leader must know the true meaning of the word, LOVE. In everything that he/she would be doing, there's only one word to remember so that he/she could do everything perfectly. Love for your God, love for your self, love for your family, love for others, love for your country and so on. When you are full of LOVE, you feel good, you radiate happiness, you can

give love and share it with everyone. After all, you cannot give what you do not have. Without LOVE, you couldn't possibly do anything. Because of LOVE for something, something great manifests. VISION. It is very important for a leader to have a big and clear vision for his/her country or city. I hear people say, "This certain politician is very simple because he/she just wears shorts and slippers." Well, that's okay. I wear slippers all the time. I am simple but my visions are not simple. There's a big difference. So, when a certain politician have simple visions, then what would manifest or what you would see in his works are also simple. In short, when you have a leader who's vision for his/her country or city is so small, what do you think would happen to his/her country or city? There would be only small developments in terms of education, healthcare, cleanliness, economy, jobs and so on. What we need are leaders who think big and who want the best of the best for the people, nothing less. We need leaders who would be willing to send their children and/or their grandchildren in their public schools, be willing to be hospitalized in their public hospitals, be willing to bring their own families in their public amusement parks and recreational facilities, etc. Otherwise, they are just delivering mediocre services to the people.
