Cabinet choices DAVAO City -- The incoming administration of presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte continues to take shape as more personalities are expected to come out in the coming days. In a press conference past midnight Sunday, Duterte said he wants his would-be Cabinet in place when he takes his oath of office. In selecting his Cabinet, Duterte said he wants to balance it as he pointed out that people must not put color on his policy and decisions on his choices. “I will not allow anybody to put color on my choices. From now on it will be for the interest of the people that counts,” he said.

A Brown gets regulatory okay to raise capital

HE energy arm of San Miguel Corporation will be on extensive capital spending of US$4.2 billion for five new power projects of 2,100 megawatts capacity in Mindanao and Luzon grids. In a briefing with re p or t e r s , S a n M i g u e l President Ramon S. Ang noted that the company will be putting up three additional power projects to underpin the development of three industrial estates in various parts of Mindanao. Siargao Island seeks 3MW modular genset
Fish landing centers A TOTAL of 38 community fish landing centers (CFLC) are now on the works to benefit ordinary fisher folks in Northern Mindanao. Amounting to P2.85 million per unit, the CFLCs will hold a two-storey building which will house a post harvesting facility as well as serve as convergence zone for the beneficiary fisherfolks in information sharing, skills training and more. BFAR Planning Officer Stephanie Cantorne said they have started the construction of the approved 20 units for last year and another additional 18 units for 2016.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the property developer said its board of directors on Friday authorized the capital raising exercise. “For this purpose, the board of directors also approved the proposal to increase the corporation’s authorized capital stock,” A Brown said. In a separate disclosure, A Brown said its board approved the proposal to increase the company’s authorized capital stock to P4 billion divided into 4 billion common shares from the current P2 billion divided into 2 billion common shares.
