The Dan Files is a set of 65 digital artifacts created by Dan Anderson also known as Droplister that were inscribed in the first 1,000 inscriptions on the Bitcoin Blockchain The Dan Files represent an irreverent experiment in immutability.

Dan Anderson is a long time open source contributor and commentator within the crypto space with a particular interest in Layer 1 protocols widely considered to be spam or otherwise inherently dangerous while fees are low and Layer 2 solutions remain nascent.

Select works from the Dan Files were Exhibited at Ordinals Alley during the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami.

Dan’s inscription of the infamous internet shock image Goatse helped push the space forward very early on by forcing explorers to think about how to best treat explicit or NSFW content.
