Annual Best of contest experiences massive growth in 2024

Friendly yet competitive spirit drives competition to record engagement

If you look around Stillwater, it’s impossible not to notice the city’s growth. Excavators and construction crews operate in almost every sector, building new homes, roads, parks and businesses. The efforts put in by local leaders, companies, entrepreneurs and stakeholders are becoming visible and tangible.

That growth means more businesses, translating into more competition for your patronage. It shouldn’t surprise us that this year’s Best of Stillwater contest has seen explosive growth among nominees and their voters. For context, last year’s contest collected 48,221 votes from 3,201 people. This year, the online ballot collected 146,820 votes by 4,883 people. Check out

page 27 of this guide for an infographic of the data from the past three years. The success and growth are attributed to those who put in the extra effort to make sure their favorites rose to the top. When browsing this guide, you’ll discover new names and brands that made the winner’s circle alongside tried and true staples of the community.

When visiting any of these fine Stillwater establishments, congratulate them. It’s not easy to be one of the Best of Stillwater, but knowing their hard work is paying off is the biggest reward.
