E British artist and writer Tim Etchells is known for his performances, installations, photography and text projects. He also leads the world-renowned performance group Forced Entertainment. Central to his practice are questions regarding contemporary identity and urban experience, regarding our relation to fiction and media and the limits of representation. Most of his artworks, which often enfold in public spaces, explore the contradictory aspects of language in a playful and poetic way. Tim Etchells lives and works in Sheffield and London. Als kunstenaar is ze geïnteresseerd in de machtsstructuren en relaties tussen financiële markten, internationale wetgevingen, geopolitieke verhoudingen, ethiek en de wereldwijde klimaatverandering. Zo onderzoekt ze de werking van geopolitieke infrastructuren en machtsverhoudingen en focust ze op de wereldwijde financiële sector. Herregraven confronteert de toeschouwer met controversiële politieke en economische verhalen. As an artist, she is interested in power structures and the relations between financial markets, international law, geopolitical structures and climate change. She explores the geopolitical infrastructures and power relations. Herregraven confronts the viewer with controversial political and economical narratives.
