Welcome to Amplify!

CONGRATULATIONS for signing up to our AMPLIFY 6 Week Challenge! Whether this is your first 6 Week Challenge or you’re a serial Challenge enthusist congratulations on making the hardest step - committing yourself to creating a better you both physically, mentally and spiritually This challenge is all about creating lasting habits that ultimately get results and make you feel and look good from the inside out So whether you are on a mission to develop healthier habits, build lean muscle, break a fitness plateau or simply want to accelerate your results - this challenge is for YOU!

GOALS

We are here to help motivate and support you to achieve your goals! Setting goals gives you a long term vision and short term motivation It helps guide and align your focus, organize your time, beat procrastination and realise you can achieve more than you think!

Think about 3 goals: PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL

Write them down & have them somewhere visible for you that you can see throughout the Challenge to remind yourself. They could be on the fridge, on the back of your front door, in your study - wherever you will be able to visually see them everyday. Below are some examples of the goals you might set:

Physical - Increase my springs across all exercises and perform long stretch in the advanced position up on my toes

Mental - Not talk myself out of the early morning sessions despite the weather, think about how good I will feel afterwards

Spiritual - Commit to 5 minutes of meditation per day

We will be sure to check in and see how you're feeling throughout the 6 weeks

PLANNING

Plan for success! Divide your classes out accordingly over the 6 weeks, so you know how many classes you will need to attend per week (depending on which pack you purchased) Pre book your classes so you get your favourite class times that work out with your schedule There is then less chance of you using “I couldn’t make it to class” as an excuse and therefore giving yourself every opportunity to finish the challenge!

DIET & SLEEP

Make sure over these next 6 weeks you are nourishing your body with a healthy well balanced diet to fuel your workouts Be sure to check out our Amplify Challenge Portal (info on the next page) On there you will find a 6 Week Meal Guide, heaps of fantastic recipes and snack ideas from dietitian Liz Borgo

Hydration pre and post workout is also key! Focusing on a good nights sleep as well will help aid you over the next 6 weeks A good diet can also improve your sleep so these two can work hand in hand

Usually around the 3rd week your body will fatigue throughout the challenge. Listen to your body and adapt accordingly! Remember sleep and a healthy diet will help your body recover and refuel.

Talk to the instructors and let them know how you are feeling. If there is any doubt or uncertainty, please let us know and we will help you stay positive and strong! Some days you may want to use lighter springs and focus on technique and a good range of movement

This Challenge we welcome the SP MOVE CLUB! We encourage you throughout the 6 weeks to add in additional daily exercise outside the studio to help enhance your results & feel great at the end of the Challenge. This may be taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking to the local store instead of driving or catching up with a friend for a walk instead of a drink. We also want to encourage you to include other activities such as stretching, a boxing class, HIIT class, cycle class, long walks or some laps at the local pool. You should be aiming for 2-3 cardio sessions a week to help compliment your pilates workouts in this challenge.

Here at SP Richmond we want to help you achieve these goals so we will be offering a FREE MOVE CLUB activity each week Come join us & other challengers to help get outside our comfort zones, try something new, add that extra element into our routines and feel the strong sense of community we have! Everything is better with a friend so let’s do it together team

This Challenge we are also implementing the Inspired Transformation Award - which will have a $200 credit prize. To be considered for this award you must fill in your measurements for bust/chest, waist and hips and send them to us at richmond@studiopilates com within the first 3 days of the challenge beginning Rest assured no one will look at these measurements. You will then take the measurements on the final day of your challenge and we can then compare the two Feel free to add in photographs to the email as well if you would like to use them as another tool to measure your progress (front, side & back)

This is a great tool to help track your progress, as the number on the scale is not always reflective of the changes happening in your body as muscle weights more than fat.

This is completely a voluntary thing and you only have to complete if you would like to. The incentive to win $200 SP credit is to help give you that extra little push you might need.

How to measure your bust/chest:

Measure underneath your armpits around your chest. You need to measure over the fullest part of your chest.

How to measure your waist:

Place the measuring tape below your rib cage and above your belly button at the smallest part of your waist. Be sure to stand up straight and relax your stomach so that you get a true measurement.

How to measure your hips

Stand with your feet together and wrap the tape around your hips and the roundest part of your rear. Be sure to keep the measuring tape straight or you may get an incorrect measurement!
