BOWMAN NATIVE BRINGS AUDIO OPERATION SKILLS TO STUDIO ONE David Folske interns as a reporter and audio board operator for award-winning television program GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Bowman, N. D. native David Folske, is an intern at the University of North Dakota’s award-winning television show Studio One. Folske is in his first semester with the program and is a sports reporter during the week and a soundboard operator on show days. During the show, he ensures that the levels of voices and stories to blend together during the live production. As a sports reporter, he shoots video, writes and edits stories. “The biggest thing I’ve learned is how to professionally report,” Folske explains. “Reporting is what I want to do after college,” says Folske. “I have been able to learn at Studio One how the TV industry works in general.” Studio One isn’t the only place Folske has excelled. In high school he was involved with Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for over three years. He held positions as Vice President, President and Senior Advisor. He received the 2008 Outstanding Senior of the Year award for service in the school and community. But Folske’s ambition didn’t stop in high school. He continues to bring leadership skills and enthusiasm into his work at Studio One. Folske is a sophomore at UND, pursuing a degree in Communications. After graduation he plans to report for a sports program such as Fox Sports North in Minneapolis, Minn. Studio One is an award-winning news and information program produced at the University of North Dakota Television Center.
