Laura, Journalism Internship in Dublin I was welcomed with open arms and felt instantly home. As I got to know the Irish people I can also say in general that it felt like they were more open than the people I was used to back home. The exact kind of personality trait I loved being around and to deal with.

Stefanie, NGP Management Internship in Cape Town Consequently the internship – as expected – was the perfect combination of gaining practical experiences while having a good impact on the community. To me South Africa is the most beautiful spot on Earth, which I can recommend without any doubts!

OVERCOMING

CHALLENGES

MY JOB Your current professional situation does not stop the yearning – whether it is before, or during your studies or in your professional life. The desire to travel can come over you at any moment! It is especially the attachment to a job that seems to be an insurmountable hurdle for many people. Nevertheless, this does not mean the end of all dreams! Even as a professional you have various possibilities to develop independently. The desire to go abroad can be realized, for example, in the form of a sabbatical year. The Sabbatical is a working-time model, in which the employee can take a break from 3 to 12 months – and officially remain part of the company. The model is gaining more and more popularity as it also has great advantages for employers. The employee returns to his/her job after the Sabbatical, motivated and bubbly with ideas and new knowledge.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT Nowadays, there are many opportunities for financial support. There are a variety of financial aid options available and students must take advantage of all that is offered. For example, you can apply for a scholarship or apply for an international grant. There are of course also foundations and private initiatives to finance your stay abroad. In addition, you can also look for private sponsors from family and friends or local companies. Crowdfunding is particularly attractive and still quite new. Here you create your own project on one of the numerous websites. People from all over the world can then donate to this self-created project. After all, it is all about contributing to a good cause, in principle it is an investment in your training. In return for sponsoring, it would be appropriate to report regularly on the project. Emails, letters, blogs or photos are always welcome. In addition, there are some foundations that also support volunteers during their stay abroad.

TRAVEL THE UNKNOWN Many dream of living among a new culture, an unfamiliar climate zone and with a different lifestyle, but are held back by skeptical thoughts. What awaits me there? Will I cope with other standards of living? Our local staff is very familiar with the local conditions and cultures and are always happy to honestly answer any questions. Therefore, all participants are prepared for their stay and are spared some of the cultural shock. Nevertheless, planning has its limits, which is also good. It’s good to leave some questions unanswered because the challenge also lies in just letting things happen without knowing what is to come. For the most beautiful experiences arise most often from the unexpected. This is the charm found in the adventure of a stay abroad.

A trip on the River Thames is a good solution to squeeze in a glance of the classics of London, such as St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, the Houses of Parliament or the London Eye. Don’t Worry Be Happy! The typical fish & chips, mint sauce, mince paste and yorkshire pudding, as well as English breakfast with eggs, bacon, toast, sausages, fried tomatoes and orange jam - don’t miss out on experiencing this side of England’s culture alongside her fellow men. There is no better place to start an overseas stay in London than in the middle of English cultural life: the pub.

The hippest city in the world is probably London. Here pop icons are born, the fashion of tomorrow is worn, the Queen is celebrated like a rock star and they drink their tea with milk. Great Britain remains one of our most popular countries for an internship abroad. Its close proximity for EU citizens, cheap flights and a solid economic growth create valuable opportunities for practical training.

From day one, I had the responsibility for small projects, for example I scheduled and coordinated Trade Nights. These Trade Nights are organized by the company and enable customers (and sometimes employees) to visit different musicals. This is just one example for a task, which interns have to cope with.”

Dublin IRELAND

Pubs and Culture in Dublin Temple Bar is a prestigious district in Dublin with many cultural sites, charming studios and quaint pubs. The name probably comes from the Temple family who lived in this part of Dublin in the 17th century. Live Irish music is regularly played here in the pubs. Meanwhile, musicians and artists keep the streets alive and active. There is no opportunity for boredom. St. Poppe’s Day, St. Paddy’s Day St.Patrick’s Day on the 17th of March has become extremely popular worldwide and is celebrated extensively and impressively in Ireland. Impressive parades take place here in Dublin in honor of the Irish patron saint Patrick, the predominant color being green. Shamrocks, green ribbons and costumes are worn with pride and the beer, with exception to the Irish Guinness, is dyed green. Down to the Cold Water Until now you may believe Ireland is only good for pub visits and green walks, but you may be surprised by the numerous long beaches, where breaking waves are being surfed. Even though the Atlantic reaches temperatures of 18 degrees Celsius in summer and drops to 6 degrees in winter, the surf adventure in the rough waves brings a clear advantage: the view of a vast, manless beaches.

LAURA | JOURNALIM INTERNSHIP “Studentsgoabroad hat organized an internship in the Editorial Department of an Irish Magazine. My core tasks not only comprised research and proofreading, but also writing own pieces as well as the administrative work at the reception. I was „the new one“ within a group of interns, with which I was sharing the same situation and therefore instantly connected. [...] I had the best internship that I could possibly have hoped for in a city which at this point seems to be as close as my own home town. I found friends who I will never forget.”

The symbol of the green shamrock indicates an island full of bliss. Mystical, misty green landscapes, Guinness and music that release endorphins. Ireland has a breathtaking landscape, countless attractions and nightlife venues. The Irish are very talkative, friendly and social, so you will make connections here very quickly.

TESSA | MEDICAL INTERNSHIP “The doctor’s office is very central, so it was perfectly within reach by feet. The nurses and doctors directly integrated me into their team and welcomed me very nicely - I directly felt comfortable! I either accompanied the nurses for patient-doctor consultations or watched them doing treatments on patients. The work and tasks themselves were very diversified and the shifts flexible - sometimes I finished work very early (12 o’clock) and, therefore, had so much time left to relax at the beach or go shopping. Besides, it was no problem to get some days off from time to time to discover other parts of Spain.”

Your favourite city! Over and over again our interns rave about their time they have spend in Barcelona! With all its impressive architecture, buzzing nightlife and easy access to the refreshing Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona quickly made its way straight to their hearts. Some of them can’t get enough and decided to call Barcelona their new home! Sagrada Familia The 8 tiled cones of the Sagrada Familia church tower 120 meters high over Barcelona. The impressive building by the architect Antoni Guadí is still not finished, and when he died in 1926 he had completed only one of the towers. In 2005, the church was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and should not be missed during a visit to Barcelona. Unusual Traditions The Catalan people’s rule Sardana is mainly spread in the autonomous community of Catalonia and have customary dances at festivals and also on the streets every Sunday. The Castells are also impressive. On certain occasions the Castellers form a high pyramid of people, which can get up to 9 floors high.

CONNY | TOURISM INTERNSHIP

“My area of responsibility dealt mainly with customer service, sales and the support of a social media platform, where I regularly did posts about upcoming events and internships offers. Particularly with regard to the customer inquiries, getting to know the entire product range was on the agenda in the first few weeks. The goal was to know the product range in detail in the future. Within the first two weeks I had written down the most important things and could start actually working myself which did not mean that I didn’t ask my colleagues a lot of client’s strange questions in the upcoming first weeks.”

An award-winning soccer team, trendsetting architects, world class Catalan cuisine, muses for revolutionary artists - Barcelona has charm, Barcelona has charisma. Barcelona thrills and enchants. As the capital of Catalonia, it is the second largest city in Spain and a cultural metropolis well known far beyond the national borders. Those who fall in love with Barcelona often never leave. Internship in Tenerife The fact that tourism is the main economic activity in Tenerife is no longer a secret. This is why the island has a lot of professional opportunities for interns and students in the gastronomy and hospitality sectors. But other companies in the tourism sector also offer interesting places, such as a surf school or a tour operator. Top internship branches •

Kindergarten

The port town of Garachico This charming little village on the northwest coast was once the largest trading center of the Canaries, and is hardly recognizable today. Garachico was hit by three natural catastrophes. Within 70 years the flourishing city was first flooded, then burnt down and then buried by lava. Nevertheless, it is recommended to visit the modern harbor which is not flooded by traffic and tourism.

The largest and most famous of the Canary Islands: Tenerife, the “Island of Eternal Spring” that brings us so close to Africa. With dreamy turquoise bays, red-violet sunsets over the volcano, Las Canadas del Teide and extremely pleasant winter temperatures of 20 ° C, Tenerife attracts over 10 million visitors from all over the world every year. Sounds like an island for lounging and sunbathing, doesn’t it? Well, not quite! Especially the Western part of the island holds many surprises, such as the once-richest Canarian trading town of Garachico or Puerto de la Cruz, where life is not determined by tourism. During your internship you will get a much deeper look into the heart of the Canary Islands.

It might not be a satisfaction for passionate big wave surfers, but you can have some advanced fun in artificial waves of up to 3 meters.

SINA | HOTEL INTERNSHIP “It really was an exciting opportunity to meet so many people from all over the world. The hotel belonged to an American chain, so I had no troubles with getting along in English, although I was able to improve my Spanish skills as well. During my time working at the reception I was assigned several tasks such as taking care of check-in and check-out, assigning guests to the different rooms, checking invoices and providing information about the hotel and its surrounding.”

Peniche PORTUGAL

Peniche, a surfing and diving paradise A glance at the panorama of the small fishing town and your internship destination, Peniche, already reveals: people are surfing here! Throughout the whole year, the waves are constantly breaking and therefore bringing a constant influx of surfers from all over the world, and those who want to become one. In addition, Peniche is the perfect starting point for the Berlengas, a small group of islands with dozens of dive sites. Deep shipwrecks and flat reefs can be seen in the crystal clear water. During the internship in the surfcamp, you will get an overview of the entire organization and support the team in all matters: prepare the equipment, accompany guests to the surf spot, teach surfing (only if you can) and clean the equipment at the end of the day. The family and joyful working atmosphere let time pass fast – so make sure to plan a few weeks more! Portugal’s traditions The Portuguese are very traditional and their ‘festa’ are an important part of their lives. The ‘festa’ are usually celebrated on the occasion of the various saints with street parades, fireworks, a lot of dance, food and wine. You will see the Portuguese in party mood. Our tip: Most of these folk festivals take place during the summer month between May and August. So, a trip to Portugal during the summer month is always a good idea!

NIKLAS | DIVE AND SURF INTERNSHIP “For someone, who loves going surfing and diving, it is the right place to be. All the interns and employees work together closely and there was no lack of jokes and humour while working. We often watched soccer together, had barbecues in school or went for sunset surfs, to get to know each other better. Going for dinner in portuguese restaurants or local bars was also a good possibility in the evening after a day at work.”

What convinces our interns in Portugal is not only the life at the sea, which is by the way also cheaper than in other southern European countries. The balanced life setting of the Portuguese, the first-class surf and the picturesque sunsets at the sea are even better than the long list of attractions to visit in Portugal. The small but fine county on the edge of Europe is definitely worth a trip!

In the Footsteps of Mandela South Africa has become very diverse in ethnicity and so has been described as a rainbow nation because of it’s variety of different skin colors. The political change came only in 1994 with Nelson Mandela, the first black president of South Africa. It would be worthwhile for admirers of Mandela to take a trip to the small village of Qunu, his birthplace, and the museum he is named after. Günstig leben in Kapstadt What if we were to tell you that living in Cape Town costs a lot less than you think? Meeting up with friends in a café or enjoying a decent sirloin steak at the “Braai” is a must and can easily become a weekly ritua as it costs you half of what you would pay back home! Classic attractions are a must, and they will not leave a hole in your pocket. A classic city tour of Cape Town is only about 10 USD and the entry into a museum only 4.50 USD! Sports at the Cape The range of sport facilities is inexhaustible. A must for every visitor is a day trip to Table Mountain. There are many paths up and down, from all different directions. Particularly recommended is a climb from the Kirstenbosch Garden, one of the world’s most beautiful gardens. In the summer there are many concerts held here. If you are limited on time, you can climb Lion’s Head in less than an hour. From there you can admire paragliders and the city from a bird’s eye view. Also parachute jumping, abseiling or bungee jumping off one of the highest bungee bridges in the world are very popular among the adrenalin junkies. And that’s not all! The entire coast is a paradise for surfers, kite surfers, windsurfers and divers. South Africa’s scenic variety can also be explored by bike or hiking.

Cape Town will let your heart beat faster! The unique location by the sea and the impressive Table Mountain characterize the cityscape and, not without reason, the city is one of the most beautiful in the world and is a mecca for backpackers. Furthermore I wrote reports for our blog on a regular basis which I uploaded on our website and later used for our newsletter. I drew up press releases which I distributed to all relevant contacts who worked for newspapers themselves. Consequently the internship – as expected – was the perfect combination of gaining practical experiences while having a good impact on the community.”

FABIAN | SERVICE MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP

“Coming from a country with a high living standard, life in Mauritius turned out to be very different to what I was used to. I learned to appreciate the small things and was fascinated by the diversity and warmheartedness of its people. I really enjoyed my 3 month internship in Mauritius and got to know many interesting people, a new culutre and could make valuable emotional and language experiences.”

Together with La Réunion and Rodriguez, Mauritius forms a small archipel, which is also named the Mascarenes. Located about 800 km from Madagaskar it seems like a lonely and secluded small paradise. Well, it’s a paradise indeed, but certainly not lonely! Being notorioius as a tax haven, Mauritius attracts many international medium-sized companies. But it is the multicultural diversity and the stunning nature that makes an internship a real paradisical experience! See the program fees online

Chinatown Montreal’s botanical garden is one of the largest in the world after London’s Kew Gardens and Berlin’s botanical garden - and certainly one of the most impressive! Since it was opened in 1931, its 75 hectares have always been adorned by a variety of flora and fauna. There are about 30 different themed gardens with air-conditioned greenhouses, banana trees and 700 orchid species. Nightlife Vancouver is the only city in British Columbia where you find all you could ask for in a full night of entertainment all within an ear shot. It is best to start the evening with a drink in the pub in the late afternoon. Then go to the theater or cabaret, eat in one of the many restaurants and finally dance in a club until the early hours of the morning. Olympic Heritage During the Olympic Games in 2010, the Canada Line of the Skytrain, an elevated railway leading from downtown to the airport and to the suburbs, was inaugurated. Nowadays, the train is used for tourist purposes as a means of transport from Chinatown to Richmond.

Pristine places still exist on this planet. For those who travel to Canada, the full range of nature and sport activities are offered. Breathtaking snowy mountains, as well as refreshing beaches. The trend to emigrate to Canada has been growing steadily for 50 years. No wonder! The unmistakable landscape with its rugged wilderness, modern North American-style cities and the taste of maple syrup make the country a mecca for adventurous souls.

Toronto CANADA

Art Gallery of Ontario If you have a rainy afternoon, take a visit to the AGO – as it is lovingly called by the inhabitants of Toronto. The impressive wooden and glass façade, created by Frank Gehry, leads into an artful world with carvings from the Inuit and rare religious statues from Quebec. And since you are in the area, you should also watch a film shown by the TIFF Cinematheque in the Gallery. Shopping Everything has an end, except for shopping in Toronto! The Eaton Center in downtown alone has a total of 230 stores. If that is not enough, there is Honest Ed’s, the Toronto Antique Center, the Bounty and many more to be explored. Niagara Falls Do not miss the opportunity to round off your Toronto stay with a day trip to Niagara Falls. The water, which falls 51 meters and turns into a torrential stream, is a unique natural spectacle.

JULE | FUNDRAISING AND MARKETING INTERNSHIP “It’s amazing. It was such a great fun to work in a museum. Both my contact persons from the staff welcomed me with open arms right from the beginning and included me in daily business. Right now, we are in the middle of the development of a museum-app which should be finished in may this year. Super exciting! Occasionally, I’m working on a fundraising project involving researches about public tendering and learning the strings of Charity systems. [...] I think that with my broad knowledge in Public Relations and Layouts I am able to take a lot of work off my supervisor’s hands. The best thing about my internship is that the whole museum-project is still developing, so I get the feeling that I am actually building something brand new. This would be the perfect job for me in Germany as well!”

Friendly, yet fancy; fast-paced, yet natural – Toronto has a lot to offer. Chinatown, Little Italy, or Greektown symbolize the cultural diversity of the city. The different origins of the inhabitants transform Toronto into a colorful stew of ethnic, subcultural and historical districts that keep the city alive and growing, redefining the city over and over again. A real experience is the influence of different seasons on the city. Full pubs, galleries and hockey stadiums in the winter; flowering parks and buzzing harbors in summer; beautifully flowing transitions in spring and autumn - Toronto is always worth a visit! STEFAN | INVESTMENT BANKING INTERNSHIP “It was a typical “NINE TO FIVE” job even though you will only seldom leave the office a five as an investment banker and never want to leave it at five! There are always things that you can do, especially at the place where I was working. The bosses expected me to ask for tasks and explanations myself. They did not treat me like a typical intern, giving me things to do. I really enjoyed this freedom because that was a way in which I could satisfy my thirst of knowledge. The Managers and the other employees (nearly) always took to answer all my questions, sometimes even for hours. In the run‐up the internship I was really worried that my English would not be good enough for working in the US. In case you are thinking the same: FORGET ABOUT IT! Of course you will need to be able to say more than “hello” and “goodbye” but the banking terminology etc. will come automatically.”

So at the the beginning of the week I always created a plan with all the tasks I had to dp during the week, whereby I developed more time management skills. had applied for the tourism sector but was also active in the social media area and have learned a lot about multi media programs like Adobe Premier etc. Above all, I got to know the platform facebook from another perspective. I’ve learned how to increase the range, what works and what does not work. As mentioned above, I assisted the Spanish lessons and English lessons for young people. I worked one and a half months in the reception of a cooperating hotel where I also learned a lot. I also participated in a project, which consisted of tourist guide workshops on appropriate customer support. In focus: working in a Spanish-speaking environment Those who are targeting an internship in South America, must know that their own English skills won’t necessarily improve. However, many candidates start the journey with a small repertoire of Spanish vocabulary and through facing obstacles from time to time use English for communication. During the internship, you should – in spite of initial shyness – always try to converse in Spanish with colleagues. Former interns in Peru confirm that this particular everyday interaction catapulted their language level to a higher level. Explore Peru During an internship in Cusco there are many day tours offering trips in and around Cusco. With bus rides at night you can travel long distances in a short time. Attractions such as Lake Titicaca or Machu Picchu may soon be checked off your “To Do” list. For the more adrenaline junkies, there is mountain biking, quad biking, rafting, zip-lining, bungee jumping, or paragliding to choose from. Take full advantage of the weekends, you can even leave the borders of Peru and explore Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia. Friday night take the bus Monday morning come back just in time for work, which in Peru is not a problem.

THOMAS | PRAKTIKUM IN DER TECHNIK

“During my stay I repaired cleaning systems and created a sales website for machines and photovoltaic systems. Additionally, Igenerated calculations for photovoltaic systems for hotels and for private pools. The working atmosphere was good and I had the opportunity to improve my Spanish skills a lot. I worked from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 18:30 and had a 1,5 hours lunch break. It is common to work 6 to 7 days a week in Peru and so my colleagues worked on Saturdays as well. I didn’t mind the long hours, because my tasks were really interesting and my colleagues were really nice.”

Peru has a lot to offer for the more adventurous souls who want to move rapidly and experience ancients heights in the Andes. Incidentally also enticing travellers are fresh fish salads, handmade sweaters and cuddly alpacas on a journey into the popular Latino country. But staying in Peru becomes even more worth it when these attractions are only secondary reasons for the long journey and an internship in Peru is your ultimate goal.

Our tip: internship in the social sector Ecuador is particularly popular for volunteering in the medical sector. The need for motivated helpers in this field in great! But is it really possible to help in a kindergarten, an old people’s home or a hospital as an intern? Definitely! All volunteer projects in Ecuador can also be acknowledged as a professional internship. This allows you to work for local communities or non-profit institutions and gaining insight into the working world of another country at the same time. As part of your business management studies, you will travel to Quito for an internship in a kindergarten and besides the work on the website, the social media channels and fundraising activities, you will take care of the children. Get out of your office chair and dive into the culture and warmth of Ecuador! Medical internship VMany hospitals in Quito offer medical internships for medical students, as it usually requires prior experience to not only observe what the doctors are doing but also to assist them actively. The knowledge you will gain during the internship abroad in Ecuador is worth a lot for your future work as a doctor! The hospitals in Quito are by far not as well equipped as the ones you are used to. As a doctor in Ecuador, you must be able to assess a patient’s disease without ultrasound, X-rays or any other means of technical support.”

DANIEL | MEDICAL INTERNSHIP “Actually when I got here they showed me my room and introduced me a little to their equipment and procedures and then just started sending patients in. So I have been working here pretty independently since the beginning. But my colleagues were Ualways there when I had questions on where what was etc. In fact I am. I am learning a lot of the other medics here. The hospital is not as well equipped as the hospitals I have been working at in Australia, and the medics cannot run the tests they would in Australia. That is why they need to know a lot about symptoms and really focus on searching patients and estimating situations.”

Everything will fascinate you in your new home: from the colorful and quivering appearance of the people in Quito, the fiery salsa sounds, to the warmth and joy of life that will surround you everywhere. If that is not enough, you can take part in various outdoor activities during an internship in the Galapágos Islands: tracking, hiking, surfing and, of course, jungling!

Bali INDONESIA

Surf, Dive & Fun For both beginners and pros, Bali is a surfer’s paradise. Infinitely long sand beaches surrounded by steep cliffs, the sea glistens in the most dazzling blue tones, the waves break imposingly over the coral reefs and the sun provides the necessary glimmer on the water to create the perfect atmosphere. The “Island of 1,000 Temples” In Bali, about 90% of Hindus live their everyday life according to religion. Spirits, the power of nature and ancestor veneration are the focus here. Harmony can only arise by honoring good and evil, and thus both receive their daily gifts. According to the Balinese beliefs, the gods live on the mountains and the demons in the sea. There are pictures of these demons everywhere, which are characterized by long claws, sharp teeth and huge eyes. The North of Bali Bali is an island full of opposites: the most beautiful beaches await you in the south and the full splendor of the volcanoes in the north. Here you will find black sand beaches along the coast and as you move central you’ll find yourself in a jungle with impressive waterfalls. Climb the volcano Gunung Batur and enjoy the splendid moment of the sunrise on the summit as the sky and its surroundings, along with the mountain lake, present themselves in shades of red. It is worth all the effort.

CLARA | JOURNALISM INTERNSHIP “During the period that I was an intern in a magazine I learnt a lot; not only about how to improve my writing skills and my English level but about how to get used to the life in Island, how to deal with unexpected situations and, especially, how to be patient and sort the good from the bad. Without a doubt the internship itself has been a resounding success. Other than writing articles about wellness, traveling, fashion, sports and beauty one of my tasks was mailing the brands in order to ask information about products and press releases. Furthermore I have assisted to events, workshops and festivals witnessing really interesting performances and gatherings. I must admit that I adapted easily to the work rhythm and to the company because my colleagues and my boss always supported and helped me a lot.”

Even though this paradise island has undergone some changes in recent times, it remains true to its name. Tourism has made Bali a top tourist attraction. Nevertheless, the island of the gods is much more than just a mainstream pilgrimage destination. An insider tip for travelers: distance yourself from the other tourists and immerse yourself in the magical culture of the Hindus. See the program fees online

Shopping in a Splendid Atmosphere Shopping at Orchard Road is one of the main reasons many visitors come to Singapore. This lively shopping mile was once a place where many plantations of fruit, pepper and nutmeg were grown, hence the name Orchard. Namaste! - India in Singapore Visit Little India in Singapore. Here you can enjoy piquant curry dishes served on banana leaves, buy original saris and visit fortune tellers, who predict the future with the assistance of parrots. You can also browse the Little India markets for Indian spices, sweets and henna tattoos. Lions and Mermaids In 1964, Merlion, a statue of more than 8 meters high, was designed as a landmark and patron saint of Singapore. The name originated from the combination of the two English terms “Mermaid” and “Lion”, and is presented as a figure with a lion head and a mermaid body. The head stands for the extreme strength and the body for the constant connection to the sea of Singapore.

A stay in Asia’s multi-cultural metropolis is promising. The city-state owes its name to the old-Indian Sanskrit, Singha (Lion) and Pura (City). Singapore, the safest and cleanest metropolis in the world, is the smallest state in Southeast Asia on the whole, but offers an exciting, multicultural atmosphere and numerous opportunities for foreign internships in various industries.

FREDERIK | CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP “I worked at a company that was manufacturing tunnel borers. Most of the time I was in the office and worked there but directly next to the office was one of several sites were currently a borer was constructed (in this case for a new metro line). After a 2 day long security training I was allowed to walk around there freely. [...] All in all it was really educating and interesting; not only because of what I could see but also because of the local people working there.”

Vietnam became an important part of my life during my internship. It is definitely worth seeing Vietnam in its many facets, if you get the chance. The country is beautiful and the cost of living is low. Everything costs much less than at home, especially fresh food, which tastes so much better.

Vietnam has changed a lot in the recent years: no country can adjust so smoothly to the modern western influences on Asia as Vietnam does. At the same time, the country still manages to keep its traditional ties, which are proudly presented in old buddhist temples, as well as in restaurants and cafés.

Internship in Melbourne The capital of Victoria is Australia’s second largest city after Sydney. At first sight, it does not appear to be as sparkling as the great metropolis of Sydney, but it is at least equally attractive for international visitors, thanks to its openmindedness and internationality. Particularly in the areas of business, sales, production, IT and logistics, the chances are good on finding a high-quality internship, since these sectors dominate the industry.

Experience History – The City Circle Tram To get an overview of Melbourne, you can climb into the legendary, old-fashioned streetcar. It offers an opportunity to get to know the city in an original way, as it is situated in the heart of Melbourne, at Flinders Street and Harbor Esplanade. The advantage: it is absolutely free. Viva Las Vegas - Crown Entertainment Complex Melaka’s Crown Entertainment Complex offers a wide range of restaurants, cafes, shops, bars and nightclubs on 510,000 square meters, along with a top five-star hotel and the largest casino in the southern hemisphere. The interior of this huge building is a phenomenal experience. On special occasions, fire fountains blast out of chimneys along the promenade in front of the complex and make the building appear mysterious. Heavenly View - Eureka Skydeck 88 The Eureka Tower is the world’s tallest dwelling-house and offers a phenomenal view of the city from the “Skydeck 88”– on the 88th floor. The absolute highlight is “The Edge”, a glass box that rises out of the building at a height of about 300 m - you should be free from dizziness, since the floor itself is also made of glass!

VIKTORIA | MARKETING INTERNSHIP “I really have to say that my time in Australia could not have been any better. I was able to strongly improve my English, acquired a lot of technical knowledge and for the first time in my professional career actually held responsibility for projects. I got to meet so many people who have become friends and an important part of my Sydney life. I have seen as much of the country and its inhabitants as I could possibly see during those six months.”

Although the land “Down Under” is the world’s smallest continent, it is one of the biggest attractions for adventurers from all over the world. In Australia there are places where beauty can hardly be put into words, making it worth flying once around the globe to see it with your own eyes. See the program fees online
