ABOUT ME I am Di Wu, who graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2019.

The knowledge and skills of Architecture stimulated my interest in design not just architecture design but any fields that need design. Meanwhile, I took up the subjects of different disciplines involving Computer Science, Mathematics, Fine arts, Commerce, Technology and Sociology. The logic, methodologies and inspirations from these disciplines help me a lot. Integrating them with architectural design languages, thesis and approaches, I try to form my design logic and use them to build a bridge between the creative conceptual and practical design.

MOBIUS BOATHOUSE ARCHITECTURE DESIGN STUDIO: WATER

C O N T E N T

Studio Water is to design an 800 sqm boathouse in Melbourne through learning from the formal approaches of a selected master, Tadao Ando, creatively. Homogeneous concrete invasive walls, running through the entire building and the land, lead visitors to explore the interest of spatial experience with blurred boundaries in Nature.

Studio Beta & Earth is a prototype project to develop a community estate and pleasure garden for Melbourne’s contemporary suburbs. This project explored the permeability and flexibility in a communal space through creating the interest of serpentine and vertical experience within Melbourne flat suburb.

GENETICS ARCHITECTURE DESIGN STUDIO: AIR Studio Air explored speculative thinking and parametric design through recursive and iterative algorithms. This project simulated the law of genetics and applied these rules under the interaction with environments. The aggregation through recursion reclaims the space of the atrium in MSD with playability and the interest of transformation.
