Meadow

Flora & Fauna from the English countryside

The new PT Eco range has been inspired by nature’s whimsical forms, with Meadow’s five designs embracing bark textures, eucalyptus stems and watercolour florals. The collection’s palette of soft, muted pastels has been taken from meadow wildflowers to complement the floral designs.

Embracing

Embracing the flora and fauna of the English countryside, Meadow combines sustainably sourced cotton and recycled polyester in a collection of prints, jacquards and embroideries.

Recycling 1 ton of recyclable plastic containers saves 5.7m2 of landfill space. The process of making recycled polyester uses 90% less water than standard polyester Requires 70% less energy than virgin fibre

Manufactured entirely from plastic bottles, the aim of recycled polyester is to reduce, reuse & recycle. Just a half a kilo of recycled polyester fibre, saves 10 plastics bottles from landfill, which otherwise would take 450 years to decompose.

Going Green

Combining both recycled polyester & organic cotton, our new PT Eco collections have been designed with the environment in mind. The materials reduce waste & limit the need for harmful chemicals, improving the quality of the soil we walk on, the air we breathe and the water we drink.

Benefits:

Recycled Polyester:

As the climate crisis continues to worsen, it has never been more important for brands to become more sustainable. With the fashion industry already taking strides to improve its carbon footprint, it is now time for the world of interiors to look at how their products can be more eco-friendly.

No chemicals are used in the growing of organic cotton to help reduce our environmental footprint.

Organic Cotton production helps sustain the health of soils, ecosystems, and people by using natural processes rather than artificial inputs. Importantly, organic cotton farming does not allow the use of toxic chemicals. Instead, it combines tradition, innovation, and science to benefit the shared environment and promote a good quality of life for all involved.

Organic Cotton:

The process uses 91% less water and 62% less energy than conventional cotton.

Benefits:

80% of organic cotton is rain fed, helping to reduce the pressure on local water sources. When choosing organic cotton, you are investing in water conservation, cleaner air, better soil and farmer livelihoods. Its production keeps farmers and their families safe as they are not exposed to toxic chemicals.
