There’s nothing new, everything is the same, and every day is the same. You see, growth and improvements can’t be seen if there’s no action taken to step forward from within. Inside Pinoy's STS demonstrates that there is more to explore and discover about the Philippines STS and will serve as a guide to what the Philippines STS has to offer everyone. It focuses on marketing, advertising, and promoting STS from the Philippines that other countries do not have. What is STS MAG?
STS MAG is a magazine-based media print company that focuses on distinct and different science, technology, and society that are existing throughout the world. Its main aim is to share stories, opinions, and learnings about STS, especially the local ones that are being left behind in the scene. STS is the first magazine to introduce STS as its medium and subject, making it theMostAnticipatedScienceandTechnologyMagazineof2023.

TheBambooIncubatorof FéPrimitivadelMundoyVillanueva
Just like her name, her medical invention is indeedprimitiveandcanberootedbacktotheold times. In 1994, as a lend of hand to rural communities with little to no electricity, she inventedtheBambooIncubator.
According to a biographical report on del Mundo by the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, the physician’s makeshift incubator wascomposedoftwonativelaundrybasketsmade of bamboo. Made of different sizes, the baskets were “placed one inside the other.” She would thenputhotwaterbottlesallaroundandbetween the baskets to regulate the body temperature of babies. “I put a little hood over it and attached oxygenforthebaby,”shesaid.“Wehadtodowith whatever was available.” However, we were not able to find any photo of the incubator (or know whereitsremainslietoday).
ItwasreportedthatitwasdelMundo’sobjective ofmakinginventionsthatareinexpensiveandcan bereproducedbypeoplewhohavelimitedaccess tomedicalcenters.

Somemayknowher,butmanymaynot—thatis the sad truth of how little our Filipino Women are celebrated. But of course, thanks to the internet andthenewgenerationofthepresentday,women are now commemorated and given credit for their hardworkandsacrifices.
María Orosa e Ylagan was a Filipina food technologist, pharmaceutical chemist, humanitarian, and war heroine. She experimented with foods native to the Philippines, and during World War II developed Soyalac (a nutrient-rich drink from soybeans) and Darak (rice cookies packed with vitamin B-1, which prevents beriberi disease), which she also helped smuggle into Japanese-run internment camps that helped save thelivesofthousandsofFilipinos,Americans,and other nationals. She introduced to the public the well-knownbananaketchup
During World War II, Orosa joined Marking's GuerrillastofightforthePhilippines'freedom.She invented over 700 recipes during her lifetime, including Soyalac and Darak, which saved thousands of lives during the war. She also invented a process for canning goods for the guerrilla warriors fighting for the liberation of the Philippines. Without her food inventions, thousands of people would have died in internmentcamps,hospitals,andonthestreets.

The Pampasaherong Jeep or Pinoy Jeepney is a minibus-like public utility vehicle, serving as the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They are known for their crowded seating and kitsch decorations, which have become a widespread symbol ofPhilippinecultureandart.
Jeepneys originate from the American colonial period and share taxis known as auto calesas, commonly shortened to "AC". These evolved to modified imported cars with attached carriages in the 1930s which served as cheap passenger utility vehicles in Manila. These vehicles were mostlydestroyedinWorldWarII.
Ithasbecomeaculturalimprintanda lifestylehereinthePhilippines.
Jeepneyshavebeenaniconicmodeof publictransportationinthePhilippinesfor decades. They provide affordable and convenient transportation to millions of commuters. The Jeepney has become an unintentional symbol of the Philippines. These vehicles show how innovative Filipinos are, by taking a beat up piece of metal and transforming it into a work of transportationaswellasart.

Founded in 1976 by inventor Alfredo Anos Sr., ARM is into designing, manufacturing, and patenting fire trucks utilizingitsowntrademarkfirepump.
ThePinoysweren'tthefirsttoinvent"3in-1 coffee," but they've invented somethingfarbetter:a3-in-1trucknamed the Anos Fire Ambulance and Rescue Vehicle (AFARV). Invented by the late Alfredo M. Anos Sr., this "Godfather of Filipino Inventors" has created a rescue vehicle,firetruck,andambulanceinone.
AnosinventedtheAnosfiretruckcalled Patriot. It is fire truck of three-in-one package that can be simultaneously a fire truck,arescuevehicle,andanambulance.

TheDazoWaterFuelHydrogen
A new Filipino inventor named Noli Dazo has invented an equipment called Water Fuel Hydrogen that serves as a generatorprovidingenergyusingwater. Thenewlyinventedapparatuscouldbe usedasageneratortoenergizeelectronic appliances such as air-conditioning unit, television, refrigerator, water pump, and other gadgets and could even start a vehicle.
The water fuel hydrogen technology also aims to end pollution as it only uses watertoprovideenergy.
Dazo has been also awarded for the water fuel hydrogen, which is a clear renewable energy and contains no pollution.
