Background Since April 2017, Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung Line, which had previously not been operated, was operated again. Users of train services at the Rangkasbitung station also increase significantly by up to 50%. This final project consists of restoration the old Rangkasbitung station and design a new Rangkasbitung station building. In the old station building there are cultural heritage buildings that need to be considered, while in new buildings consider connectivity between the old Rangkasbitung train station and the new Rangkasbitung train station

Access Aspect Based on data, we decided to make a concept as a node of

city movement. It brings three issues, mobility, integration, and building

appearance. All of that issue is being solved by my final project design.

Site Analysis

Design Solving The basic concept of this design is the node point of the city movement, which means that Rangkasbitung station is the beginning of the city's movement to develop for the better in the future. With the development of the Rangkasbitung Station, it is hoped that the Rangsbitung Station can become the center point of the city's movement, starting from the economy, education, tourism, residential, commercial, and etc. In addition, Rangkasbitung Station is also expected to become a knot that seems to be able to attract the attention of people around the site to come. This station also has a strategic location so that its potential needs to be explored. The ultimate goal is to make this area one of the best TOD areas in Indonesia and to advance Rangkasbitung.

Furthermore, the application of the concept is applied through a design that can connect the station with buildings around the site and provide convenience to reach any point from the station. This convenience is not only felt by some groups but all groups, design inclusiveness. Then, this station building can also be an attraction for tourists and local residents ranging from those who clearly have a goal to use train services to those who intend to have recreation and travel to the station. In addition, Rangkasbitung does not yet have a city landmark, so Rangkasbitung station has the potential to become one of the city's new landmarks that can show the characteristics and beauty of Rangkasbitung. This can be supported by the existence of a cultural heritage building at the station. To become a new building in Rangkasbitung that can create harmony between the new buildings that contrast with the cultural heritage buildings.
