Everything Napa Wine Tasting

Friday, January 14 6:00 – 8:00 pm Free for Vintners’ Club members, $25 all others Northern California’s Napa Valley is 30 miles long and fives miles across at its widest point. It is considered one of the top wine growing regions in the world. The combination of Mediterranean climate, geography and geology are conducive to growing quality wine grapes. Established in 1861, Charles Krug was the valley’s first commercial winery but by the end of the nineteenth century, more than 140 wineries had been established. Some of those wineries still exist today, including Beringer, Beaulieu, Mayacamas, Far Niente and Chateau Montelena. In a blind tasting at the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, a Chardonnay from Chateau Montelena and a Cabernet from Stag’s Leap won first place over some of the most famous French labels and the wine world took notice. Today, Napa Valley is accepted as one of the world’s premier wine producing regions. Please join us for this walkaround wine tasting featuring a special showing of Black Stallion’s Cabernet and Chardonnay, just being introduced to the market. For reservations, please call the club at 813-229-6028.
