Everything Napa Wine Tasting

Friday, January 14 6:00 – 8:00 pm Free for Vintners’ Club members, $25 all others Northern California’s Napa Valley is 30 miles long and fives miles across at its widest point. It is considered one of the top wine growing regions in the world. The combination of Mediterranean climate, geography and geology are conducive to growing quality wine grapes. Established in 1861, Charles Krug was the valley’s first commercial winery but by the end of the nineteenth century, more than 140 wineries had been established. Some of those wineries still exist today, including Beringer, Beaulieu, Mayacamas, Far Niente and Chateau Montelena. In a blind tasting at the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, a Chardonnay from Chateau Montelena and a Cabernet from Stag’s Leap won first place over some of the most famous French labels and the wine world took notice. Today, Napa Valley is accepted as one of the world’s premier wine producing regions. Please join us for this walkaround wine tasting featuring a special showing of Black Stallion’s Cabernet and Chardonnay, just being introduced to the market. For reservations, please call the club at 813-229-6028.

It has been a commonly used medical procedure throughout the world for thousands of years but has only recently been integrated into western medicine. The National Institute of Health has issued this consensus statement on acupuncture: “There is sufficient evidence of acupuncture’s value to expand its use into conventional medicine.” Promising results have emerged about the efficacy of acupuncture in situations such as addiction, stroke rehabilitation, headache, menstrual cramps, tennis elbow, fibromyalgia, myofascial pain, osteoarthritis, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and asthma. If you are already an acupuncture patient or are curious about acupuncture, come learn from an expert. Edward Leonard, DC, completed his medical acupuncture training at Harvard Medical School and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Dr. has been practicing acupuncture for five years at his integrated medical center in downtown Tampa. For reservations, please call the club at 813-229-6028.

TYPICAL DAY

I’m up at 5:45 or 6:00. My phone is usually full of messages just from overnight. I check my Twitter and my Facebook to see what’s going on for the day. Who needs me? I proceed to follow up with everyone and make phone calls, sales calls and try to get people interested in being members of Tampa Bay Business Women Network. I pitch products and advertising to people because I am launching the Ultimate Entrepreneur online. Therefore, I am trying to get local entrepreneurs in the area to help with all aspects of the project. My day ends around 12:30 or 1:00 in the morning knowing that I have to wake up again very soon.

Weddings

at The TampaClub Dear Tampa Club Staff, We wanted to let you know how thrilled we were with the location and food for our rehearsal dinner. It was absolutely beautiful. It’s always hard to know if the vision you have is being communicated well to the person who is responsible for creating it and you surpassed my expectations. Not only was it everything we wanted but the service you and your staff provided were superb. My guests commented on how friendly, attentive, complimentary and helpful they were. My guests also raved about the food, both the taste and the presentation. I would highly recommend your services to anyone who needs them. Thanks for making our special day even more memorable.
