Captain L. S. Bruce, "What can I do for you ... ?" Courtesy and precision with pleasing touches of humour have been the characteristics of Mr. Bruce's fourteen years service to the School; he has now retired from the management of the Shop. After many years service as a Regular soldier, at first in the Scots Guards and later as an officer in the Royal Army Pay Corps, Mr. Bruce came to the School in 1958, when the Shop had an annual turnover of £600; he developed it in its new buildings, and he leaves it in 1972 with an annual turnover of £21,000.
