Office of the President
Dear Prospective Students and Parents ,
On behalf of our faculty and staff, I warmly welcome you and thank you for considering St. Paul’s High School.
By applying to St. Paul’s, you are joining a long tradition of Jesuit education. The first Jesuit school opened in Messina, Italy, in 1548. It brought together the study of law, science, mathematics, philosophy, and theology with the study of language, literature, history, and the arts. St. Ignatius of Loyola believed that forming young people as leaders in the Church and the world was of great value, and from this vision the Jesuit tradition of education was born.
More than 470 years later, that same tradition continues in Jesuit schools around the globe. At St. Paul’s, young men are formed to be MenforOthersthrough a rigorous academic program, meaningful spiritual formation, and a wide range of athletic, artistic, and intellectual opportunities. This commitment to the growth of mind, body, and spirit remains the hallmark of a Jesuit education.
Parents, by seeking admission for your son, you entrust us with his growth and formation in these values. We are grateful for that trust and look forward to working with you in a true spirit of partnership to support him along the way.
Candidates, by entering this process, you show your openness to growth, your willingness to learn, and your desire to shape your life according to the Jesuit tradition.
For our part, we pledge to give you our very best. Should you join our community, you will be offered every opportunity to thrive and to become the person God calls you to be.
I wish you every grace and blessing in His name.
Sincerely,
Bob Lewin Interim President St. Paul’s High School
