Toby Whytock (Year 11) is making his St Paul’s stage debut after performing in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2022) and Hairspray (2020) at Southwell School. Although Oliver! (2021) was cancelled, Toby is excited to return to the stage after three years and fully embrace his character. Outside of theatre, he enjoys singing, rowing, and football and loves being involved in them all.
Annabelle Choy (Year 12) performed in the 2024 Little Shop of Horrors, Pippin at Hillcrest High School and several Hamilton Musical Theatre productions, including Frozen Jr, Into the Woods Jr, and The Lion King Jr. She is excited for The Addams Family and is especially looking forward to singing Just Around the Corner. Outside of the theatre, Annabelle is involved in volleyball, lacrosse, dance, and choir.
Rosie Willson (Year 13) has previously performed in Little Shop of Horrors (2024) and The Lion King at Riverlea Theatre. She loves singing and acting and is an active member of both school choirs. Rosie also plays hockey and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is excited to bring all the cast’s hard work to life on stage and looks forward to singing Pulled for a live audience.
Freddie Savill (Year 13) has previously performed in Little Shop of Horrors, Bring It at Waikato Diocesan, and The Outsiders at the National Youth Drama School. She is excited to take on the role of Grandma and looks forward to the challenge and fun the character brings to the stage. Freddie is especially looking forward to opening night and getting to know the cast. She loves drama, and outside of school enjoys rowing, skiing, film, music, and spending time with friends and family – with karaoke as her go-to party game.
Nico Schuitemaker (Year 9) made his musical theatre debut at age 9, playing the title role in Oliver!, and has been hooked ever since. He has played lead roles in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, School of Rock, Mary Poppins, and most recently, Young Clyde in Bonnie and Clyde. Nico sings in both rock and jazz bands and has a passion for classical voice. He sings in the St Paul’s Chamber Choir and was previously Head Chorister at Southwell’s All Hallows Chapel. Nico looks forward to playing Pugsley and singing What If
John Park (Year 12) previously performed in Oliver Twist at Southwell School and is excited to return to the stage to perform in front of a live audience. Outside of the theatre, John is an exceptional swimmer, breaking school records with his achievements in the pool. He’s enjoying the chance to be part of such a quirky and entertaining production and looks forward to performing in front of a live audience.
Leo Neilsen (Year 12) has previously appeared on the St Paul’s stage in Little Shop of Horrors, and Godspell. He played the French King in Henry V in 2020. Off the stage, Leo is involved in choir and hockey. He is especially looking forward to performing Crazier Than You and can’t wait to take the stage in front of family and friends.
Arnah Currie (Year 12) was part of Little Shop of Horrors at St Paul’s in 2024 and previously performed in The Little Mermaid, Hairspray, and Oliver! at Southwell School. Outside of school, she studies advanced tap and intermediate jazz dance. Arnah is especially excited for the Act One finale, describing it as a super fun and hectic scene to perform in.
James Su (Year 13) returns to the stage after performing in Little Shop of Horrors at St Paul’s. Previously, he was part of the Southwell School opera, Hairspray and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang performances. Outside of the theatre, James enjoys football, futsal, cooking, service, the outdoors, playing piano, and singing in the choir. He is especially looking forward to performing The Moon and Me, one of his favourite songs in the show.
Aidan Hodgson (Year 13) is stepping onto the stage for the first time since his Year 6 production at Pirongia Primary School, where he played a tree with one line. Now in his final year at St Paul’s, Aidan is excited to take on the role of Lurch – the towering and mysterious member of the Addams family. At 6 foot 7, he’s well-suited to the part. Off stage, Aidan plays basketball and is looking forward to the support of his fellow Sargood Year 13 brothers in the audience.
