1. All orders can be placed via mail, fax, telephone, or email; our telephone & fax services are available 24/7. Please include your name, address, telephone number, email address, serial number of your car, and your credit card information.

All orders shipped to a Pa address are subject to 6% sales tax. All orders paid by personal checks will be held 7 business days for bank clearance. For any returned/bad checks there will be an additional $30.00 charge. Master Card, Visa, Discover, & American Express accepted for all purchases. If a package is damaged notify the driver & call us immediately and leave the package as is, as it will need to be inspected by a FedEx official for insurance purposes. Before installing a part please check your existing part to make sure the new part is correct before installing. We are not responsible for wrong applicational use. Please ask when ordering if you are unsure.

2. All parts listed are new (except as noted), exact fit items that have been field tested in our Metropolitan restorations and will perform as the original parts or better. Most parts include needed installation hardware/gaskets at no extra charge.

3. New Parts: Refunds will be given within thirty days of your purchase provided the part(s) are shipped to us postpaid.

Any returns after 90 days will be store credit only. No returns after 1 year for any reason. Refunds will be given for any reason as long as the part is returned to us in the same condition that we shipped it and you enclose a copy of your dated receipt. We will pay your shipping if the part is defective or there was an error on our part. We will only pay actual ground freight. When returning a part, if the part is deemed not defective, the customer would pay any return freight to them and any testing fees. For rebuilt items you must call first to get a return authorization from us. Backordered parts will be shipped free of charge as long as it’s not a special order item or a discontinued item that becomes available. If we do not receive cores in a timely fashion we can backorder the item but will not ship for free, if you buy a rebuilt item from us please return it ASAP so we can supply the part to another Met owner. All credit slips will be e mailed to your e mail address.

Other than this refund policy there is no warrantee expressed or implied unless superseded by a manufacturer’s warranty. Metropolitan Restoration Service, Inc. will not be responsible or liable for labor, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the cost of the product/part and as such does not include any shipping charges unless it was an error on our part or the item is defective.

Used Parts: All used parts are sold “as is” with no warrantee expressed or implied. Used parts are not returnable without prior authorization. Returns can only be accepted on an exchange basis for a replacement with the same used part unless a prior authorization is granted by us for a store credit. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. No exchanges or credits will be given without a copy of your dated receipt.

4. There will be no returns on fuel, engine, bearings, upholstery, etc… items once installed unless it was an error on our part. No returns on electrical parts unless defective, no exceptions. Please contact us with any questions on any of these part(s) returns. On all special order items please contact us for return authorization before returning these parts. Some special order items are not returnable and you must send a copy of your invoice.

5 On all rebuilt items, all core charges must be paid at the time of the order. This charge will be refunded to you once we receive your complete rebuildable core. There will be a core charge refund deduction for missing / unoriginal / broken parts. If parts are missing/broken we will give a partial core refund.

6. Starred items are special order items that will take longer to ship to you and will cost additional shipping. These parts are generally not returnable.

7. We are constantly adding to our inventory. If you see a part that you need that is not listed please contact us.

8. We reserve the right to refuse business to anyone for any reason. We also reserve the right to rescind free S/H if abused with returns.

9. Please check out our special pricing on several complete kits that are available at a savings over the total individual prices. All kits would have to be returned as a complete kit for any refund.

All in stock orders will be shipped within 24 hours the majority of the time. Most in stock new parts ground orders placed before 2:00EST will be shipped the same day. Any order outside the lower 48 states must ship complete, if they are partial orders, S/H will be charged for each package (no back orders). All orders will be fully insured (at customers cost). We do not use other individual’s or business’s shipping accounts. We will ship small items (less than 14ozs) in a small padded pouch via USPS 1st class. Shipping Chart

FedEx has added a new service called Smart Post. This is a 3-9 day service with final delivery done by the USPS and will be delivered in the same fashion as your mail would be. The service is not a day guarantee like ground or air services but will have the better handling & tracking capabilities from FedEx. It will come in handy if you order something small (rates will only save you $ with small weight packages, generally in the 1-4lb range) where we’re shipping to a residential address and when there would be a delivery area service fee (if you live out of town or a very small town). The savings would be approx. 3-6 dollars. We will not ship this way, with the exception of some backorders, unless you tell us you want it shipped through Smart Post because of the slower transit times.
