Dear Editor,

We would like to thank everyone who supported the Stotfold Walking Market and our stall at 26 Home Close. We sold over 70 plates of cakes by lunchtime. This together with donations given for bric-a-brac and maps, resulted in a magnificent £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Kind regards
Bev and Bob Harrold Editors Note: A superbly organised event! Well done to all.

On behalf of myself (litter picker), and a friend (on a bike), we would like to profusely apologize to the driver of a metallic blue BMW estate, who, this morning (05/09/21) felt that we had impeded his journey.
We were just heading into Astwick, by the farm, as he was exiting. Having come round a left hand bend, he saw us and we were met with a lot of hand waving, and despite his need for speed, he took the trouble to slow down, wind his window down and give us the benefit of his opinion.
The good news for him is that this will be the last time I will be putting my neck on the block picking up other peoples litter on Astwick Road. My apologies to all who live in Astwick Road. Mr C Hall
