News from Stotfold Salvation Army
Stotfold Salvation Army has been active during the last 18 months, albeit restricted by lockdowns and the need to operate safely. Sunday meetings at the hall in Church Road have resumed, currently with a booking system to enable seating to be allocated, suitably distanced. We are mask friendly and hope that you will be too. All are welcome. Meetings will continue to be accessible via YouTube for those unable to get to the hall for the time being.
Our young people have continued to receive age-appropriate teaching and activities each week, including Messy Church packs each month. If you would like to be added to the list to receive our Messy Church packs please send us an email and we would be happy to send these through to you. We are hoping that Messy Church will start meeting again in person in December. Small groups for parents/carers and babies up to 2 years were trialled before the August holiday period and proved beneficial in connecting people and enabling babies to interact after a long period of isolation in their homes.

The Home League, a group of women that meets on Tuesday afternoons for Christian worship, education and fellowship, is planning to restart on 12th October at 2.00 pm. We enjoy singing and sharing experiences with one another and there is always laughter. Readers who are interested in attending these meetings may just come along or phone for more information. We will be delighted to welcome new members to this group that has continued to support one another with weekly phone calls since March 2020.
Men’s Fellowship has its first outing on 6th September and Ladies’ Fellowship is hoping to resume in January 2022.
We are making plans for CONNECT – youth club for grown ups to restart and will let you know as soon as we have a date for this. At present we are without leadership for our BLAST club (Kids club), Youth Club, Tiddlywinks Group & Little Sparks group. We are hoping to appoint somebody to head up these important and valuable groups very soon, so look out for Job adverts which will be available soon.
We are also in need of a cook for our Lunch Club which is held once a month, if you are interested in this please let us know.
