How to reach the apartment The nearest railway stations are Oostende and De Panne. It takes about an hour to travel there by tramway. If you take the kusttram, make sure you get off at stop ‘Groenendijk’. From the stop, it is only a 5 minute walk to the apartment. Parking in Groenendijk isn’t free, unless you find a spot on the small slope in front of it. You’ll usually find a free parking spot around De Leerwijzer and domein De Westhoek, Noordzeedreef 3-6. Supermarkets There’s an Action, a Carrefour Express and a Proxy Delhaize within walking distance, in the Albert I-laan. A b i t f u r t h e r, h e a d i n g t o Nieuwpoort-Stad, you’ll also find a Lidl and a Colruyt.
Some handy things to know before you arrive - During winter, the floor can be cold. Make sure you bring some slippers or warm and thick socks to keep your feet warm. - Are you planning on eating out during your stay? It can be useful to make a reservation in advance. You’ll find some nice addresses at the back of this page. -Please don’t forget to bring towels and sheets. - You’ll find salt and pepper, olive oil, vinegar, coffee, tea, sugar and toilet paper at your disposal. You’ll also find everything you need (dishwasher caps, towels, …) to do the dishes.
Bread Madie’s boerenbrood (closed on Mo and Tue) is the closest bakery, in the Albert I-laan. You’ll often find a very long queue in the morning. To avoid it, you can pick up an order form the day before, fill it in and and hand it over at the left of the counter in the morning. It allows you to skip the line.
