TOGETHER SCHOOLS’ PROGRAMME
2024-25 End of Year Report
Together School’s Programme
The Trust’s aspiration is to deliver at least one of our uniquely designed Together programmes in every primary and secondary school across the borough of Stockport, including in specialist and alternative settings, during each academic year. The extremely generous funding we receive from Together enables us to offer the provision free of charge for all schools, which is incredibly well-received.
Our aim is to deliver effective classroom workshops alongside football and leadership sessions to provide valuable enrichment and ultimately make a positive impact on the lives of young people in the local area.
The Trust is delighted with the extent of the work done by our fantastic Education & Sport Coaches this year and proud of the impact the diverse range of Together programmes has made on the students in all the schools we have worked in.
This report highlights the scope and reach of the Together Schools’ Programme during this academic year and includes accurate data as well as valuable feedback received from pupils and staff at every school we delivered at.

staff comments
“The sessions were fast moving, interactive and relevant. The coach set a fantastic environment and this gave the pupils a forum to ask good questions about the internet/social media.”
“The sessions were inclusive and great care was taken to ensure mixed ability groups were engaged. The children welcomed the challenges that the programme provided and the resources/booklets were fantastic.”
“The children responded really well to the coaches as role models and this meant they could talk about the content openly. The sessions were super organised and the resources supported learning.”
“Perfect content, engaging, well planned, well-pitched, good length of session, booklets are great! The coach is an amazing teacher with great behaviour management and the children were excited every week.”
“The children were able to link their learning to real life scenarios and prior learning was reinforced really well. The coach was fab with the class and made a clear effort to establish positive relationships.”
“This was a really nice alternative way to teach and learn about mental health for the children. The coach was brilliant with the class and adapted the sessions really well to suit the children’s needs.”
“Great open discussions with the class. They became very comfortable sharing things with the coach and could have really beneficial conversations about their mental health and wellbeing.”
“This community project is brilliant. The children have got so much out of having these sessions, both physical skills and the numeracy. The coach was fantastic, so professional, always prepared and has great relationships with the class.”
“They loved exploring the positives and negatives of social media use with adults they looked up to as role models. It was great for them to reflect on their own behaviour online.”
“Superb programme, great resources and brilliant opportunities for the children with fantastic coaches. Good arithmetic skills and pupils developed their understanding of finances e.g. profit and revenue.”
“The programme linked really well to our local history topic around landmarks and local heroes. There was a great range of activities, and the pupils were interested to find out things about their local area.”
